Cary, NC- The girl's bracket of the 47th Annual Holiday Invitational sponsored by the John Wall Family Foundation was loaded with talented teams as usual. A couple of nationally ranked teams showed up to do battle with some of the best teams from the “Hoop State” of North Carolina. Day 2 was packed with exciting games and some next level individual play.

LBI Top 5

Imani Lester 2022 F North Raleigh Christian
Lester has already established herself as one of the top freshmen in the country. Her role on her high school team allows her to showcase parts of her game that some may have not known existed. At 6’3 she handles well enough to bring the ball upcourt when needed. She does a good job distributing from the perimeter and the 17’ foot jump shot was consistent.

Nia Washington 2019 G Green Hope (UNCA Signee)
Washington carried the load for Green Hope in a tough battle with NRCA. She did an excellent job finishing at the cup and also showed a good pull up jump shot in traffic. A very strong and athletic guard whose strength allowed her to complete plays against bigger players.

Kennedy Todd-Williams 2020 PG Jacksonville (UNC verbal)
Todd-Williams is a dynamic guard that can play the 1 or 2 and be very effective from either spot. She controlled the tempo from jump to buzzer in a win over Kingston. Very good off the dribble, seemed to be able to get to the rack at will.  Excels in transition, very explosive on the finish.

Nia Young 2021 G Leesville Road
A very smooth guard who’s dangerous with the ball in her hands. Scores it from all 3 levels. Very long and lanky frame, length makes her a great weak side defender. She gets her hands on a lot of balls. Has an ACC offer.

Angel Reese 2020 F St Frances (MD)
Reese is the top player in the event and she knows it. Oozes with confidence, a big time shot blocker. At 6’3 can guard the perimeter or the post effectively. Has a good enough handle to play on the wing, rebounds both ends and finishes well with either hand.
