LBI Preseason Scrimmage Top Performers

2019 Sierra McCullough – South Pointe HS
The recent de-commit from ECU put everyone on notice. The 6’2” post-wing is a game changer with high basketball IQ.  She is a rebounding machine, shot blocker that is very disruptive in the paint. She possesses very good foot work and gets end to end efficiently.

2019 Aaliyah Bell – North Augusta
Don’t let the size fool you, as she was one of the best players here. This point guard controls the flow on both ends. Defensively she is super quick and is a disrupter for opposing PG’s. She consistently sprinted back on defense and never conceded anything. On offense she set the offense and distributed the ball to her teammates very effectively. 

2019 Jada McMillian – Concord First Assembly
The unsigned senior transfer displayed superior athleticism and court awareness. With three CFA starters out, she showed she could handle the load with no problem. She is at her best in transition and attacking off the dribble. A very well rounded player with a nice mid-range game and good anticipation on the defensive end.

2019 Anayah Rice – Legacy Early College High
Displayed poise and leadership. She is a long athletic guard who ran the point effectively. She can score from anywhere on the court and is great in transition. Defensively she guards multiple positions and uses her length to create turnovers, blocks and rebounds.

2019 Mya Burns – North Augusta
Mya is a confident long guard that uses her length very effectively. She scores effortlessly and has a knack for finishing around the rim. She is an absolute nightmare to stop in transition. Most of her points come inside the arc, but has nice form and can hit the three ball as well. An all-state player and back-to-back state champion, she has experience and it shows on the court.

2020 Jamia Blake – South Pointe HS
Elite level guard that leads a very talented team. She has a college ready frame and a game to go with it. She controls the tempo and has a high basketball IQ. She finishes strong around the basket and either plays through contact or creates the contact herself. An extension of the coach on the court, she is very confident and plays with passion.

2019 Shariah Gaddy – South Meck HS
The recent Presbyterian commit displayed her versatile abilities on the court. A well rounded player that is a team leader. She is a disruptive defender that is always around the ball. On the offensive end, she can slash her way to basket and has developed a formidable three point jump shot.

2021 Reigan Richardson – Cannon School
One of the top players in the state in her class. She has a very quick first step and scores from anywhere on the court. She is a high motor player that is consistently in attack mode. Ball handling has improved and has good court vision. High IQ, tough defender with multiple D1 offers.

2020 Payton Sutton – Butler HS
Good on ball defender who plays with determination and grit. Runs the point and is always looking to get her teammates involved. Can score when called upon and uses her floater in the lane and baseline.

2020 Trinity Cherry-Brown – Cuthbertson HS
Long athletic guard. She is still raw but has tremendous length that makes it difficult for opposing offenses. She played multiple positions on both offense and defense. As she gets stronger and continues to improve her ball skills, she will be a player to watch this season.

2021 Kennedy Simpson – Mallard Creek HS
Great basketball body and tons of athleticism.  She has better than average ball handling skills and can score from all levels. She can do a variety of things and will continue to become more polished offensively over the coming years.  

2020 Jaclyn Feit – South Meck HS
At 6’3” with a 6’8” wing span she is a strong inside presence. Very good rebounder on both ends. She keeps the ball high around the basket and usually scores from 15ft and in. Defensively she consistently either changes or blocks shots and leads the team’s frontcourt.

2019 Hailey Nance – Butler HS
This unsigned senior is super athletic and can get up and down. She is a good size guard at 5’11” that can do a lot. She can defend multiple positions and rebounds very well. Offensively she is at her best attacking the rim and finishing strong.

2020 Lauryn Hardiman – Cuthbertson HS
Strong, tough, good sized guard. She rebounds very well and is active on defense. Deceptive going to the basketball and can finish in traffic. Solid fundamentals and skill set.

2019 Scarlett Gilmore – South Pointe HS
Exceptional player that fills the stat sheet. She can score, rebound, assist, get turnovers and best of all competes at a high level. Very good on ball defender that puts pressure on opposing teams on both ends of the floor.

Next Up

2022 India Howard – Mallard Creek HS
Long athletic wing player that can run the floor in transition. On the defensive end, the shot blocker can guard multiple positions and goes after every rebound. She is very active on the glass and finishes strong around the rim. As she continues to improve her ball handling and mid-range game she will be a player whose stock will continue to rise.

2021 Maddie Dillinger – Cuthbertson HS
College sized wing player with good fundamentals. She is strong enough to impose her will on the block, and has the ability to step outside as well. Very good rebounder that should continue to improve finishing around the rim in traffic. Never stop attitude that will have college coaches very interested.

2021 Anna Galloway – Cannon School
Good size forward with soft hands and good upside. She rebounded well and did not back down from the competition. She uses her body well and is someone to keep an eye on in the upcoming year.

2021 Laila Acox – Ridge View
Athletic wing player that can play anywhere on the court. She displayed her range knocking down multiple three’s as well as getting some tough finishes around the basket. Defensively she can block shots and can cause turnovers. An experienced player with good court awareness drawing college interest.

2022 Najah Lane – South Pointe HS
Poise beyond her years. She is very comfortable with the ball and is a solid decision maker for a freshman. She doesn’t force things and lets the game come to her. Solid ball handler that can hit shots and plays in the defensive passing lanes.

2022 Kingsley Turrif – Sun Valley HS
Freshman guard with good upside. She ran the point on occasion and displayed a good base skill set. As she gains confidence and more experience expect to hear more about her.

2021 Gabby Edwards – Cannon School
Undersized PG that displayed good composure under pressure. She can knock down shots and has a decent floater. As her ball handling continues to improve, she will become more comfortable in the PG role.

2022 Senali Moss – South Meck HS
Athletic starting freshman guard that can get to the basket. Good skill set and defender. She is at her best in transition whether finishing the break or assisting to her teammates. As she continues to develop, expect her stock to rise.

2023 P’Eris Smith – North Augusta
This young player has huge upside. Solid basketball build with a good base. At 6’ she ran the floor well and is strong enough to compete in the paint. Jump shot has good form and as she continues to improve her dribbling she will be a tough player to guard.
