LBI Elite 48 Middle School Standouts

2023 Mia Xerras PG Alexander Graham MS
Elite level PG with excellent handles. Keeps the ball on a string with either hand.  She has high basketball IQ that allows her to make the right plays and get everyone involved. She can score from all levels on the court whether it’s from long range or driving to the basket. Defensively she plays a little high but is quick to recover and will continue to improve over time. Mia is in the conversation as the top PG in her class in NC.

2023 Jyana Salton G Mathews Charter Academy
Athletic guard with a quick first step. Jyana showcased this in the one on one competition as well as in the team format. She hit shots from three and is always in attack mode. She competes at a high level using her quickness and size to defend all five positions though she tends to reach for steals instead of moving her feet. Her stock is definitely on the rise.

2024 Trinity Vance PG Legacy Early College MS
Her game comes with some shake but her demeanor is steady and even keeled. She continually used ball fakes and attacked the basket. She did well in transition and can run the floor. Applied good pressure defensively and could develop into a special player.

2024 Reese Wilson G Alexander Graham MS
Excellent shooter from anywhere on the court. Displayed good handles which should continue to improve. Has very good basketball instincts and knows where to be on the court on both ends. Best part is she has a passion for the game and good fundamentals.

2023 A’Bria Copeland PG Hickory Ridge MS
Smooth but tough PG with a good base of skill sets. She gets to the basket often and as she continues to get stronger will be able to finish more consistently. She shoots the three and has a good step back. If she continues to put the work in she could be a legitimate impact player in the immediate future.

2023 Trinity Mathis W JN Fries MS
Solid rebounder who plays hard on both ends. Good in transition and as her ball handling improves, will be able to play multiple positions.

2023 Deirdre Miller F Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy
Unselfish player who hit open shots. Ball handling improvement will help her get her own shots off the dribble.

2023 Meghan Davenport G Dutch Fork
Active defender who blocked multiple shots. Plays hard and has good upside.

2023 Aniyah Scales G Kennedy MS
Tough guard that can get to the basket, play through contact and finish strong. Her outside shot needs to be more consistent and if it does she will be hard to guard.

2023 Janiya Bryd G JN Fries MS
Competitor who likes to mix it up. She was active on both ends and plays with a chip on her shoulder.

2023 Laney Scoggins F Charter Day School
Has good length and is a rebounding machine. As she develops on the offensive end, she has the potential to be really good.

2023 Zoe Henderson G /F Piedmont MS
Good size player that played both inside and out. Seems to always be around the ball. Continued to get better and better as the day went on.

2024 Skyla Tuthill SG Banks Trail MS
Skyla is an active guard that can get her shot off in multiple ways. She has decent handles and was able to use both hands.

2024 Kiara Croskey PG Alice Drive MS
Finishes at the rim and has a nice touch on her jump shot. Has good handles and showed good leadership.

2024 Molly Smith PG John Paul II Catholic
Crafty ball handler with a nice crossover. Defensively got in the passing lanes and applied good pressure.

2026 Samaria King PG Kimmel Farm Elementary
The youngest and smallest player showed lots of heart for her age. She competed against older players and didn’t back down from anyone. Has a good base skill set that will improve over time.
