Concord, NC: For the fourth year in a row many of the top players in North Carolina, South Carolina and surrounding states came together for what has become one of the best individual events annually. LBI Head Trainer Jody Patton got the attention of all the participants right from the start when he told everyone to leave their name and ranking at the door, because today you will compete for everything. Compete they did. Listed below are just a few of the players from many that had great days.

2021 Kennedy Calhoun PG Hickory Ridge HS (NC)
Straight competitor! Kennedy brings intensity every time she gets on the floor and competes at a high level. This was evident right out the gate, as she took on some of the events top players to win the one on one competition.  She excelled in the game format as well by constantly moving and never quitting on a play. She is a crafty, sound ball handler who can get to her spots on the floor and create for others. She is in the conversation as one of the top NC PG’s in her class.

2020 Evan Miller SG Ardrey Kell (NC)
Evan came into the event relatively unknown and unranked but quickly showed she belongs. She displayed an array of skill sets and everyone could tell she has been working on her game. Evan came out fast knocking down three pointer after three pointer. Once the defense decided to take that away, she drove to the basket and finished at the rim. Offensively she can do a multitude of things and her length is a problem on the defensive end. Look forward to seeing her name over the next couple years.

2021 Aylesha Wade G Clover HS (SC)
Instant offense. She plays with a look of determination and a very aggressive style. She shoots extremely well behind the three point line and can get to rack with a quick first step. She is another player who likes to compete and that was evident in the one on one and team settings. Defensively she is quick and athletic, and as she continues to grow expect big things from her in the near future.

2020 Jeriel Nesbitt G TW Andrews (NC)
Jeriel made her presence felt immediately with a physical style of defense many just weren’t ready for. She challenged every dribble, drive, cut, and shot from her opponents. Offensively she found her way near the basket, continually extending her teams possessions.  She rebounded on both ends and is a player to keep up with for the upcoming season.

2020 Randi Neal G South Pointe HS (SC)
Randi is a good size guard with off the charts athleticism. She knocked down shots all day including a couple back to back. She is more of a perimeter player but rebounds extremely well and was a difference maker for her team. Defensively she can and did guard multiple positions. As she continues to work and get more comfortable dribbling the ball, her stock will continue to rise.
