RLC Memorial End of the Summer Splash Top Performers

5’9” SG Brala Benion 2020 Hype Lady Hoopers (Pontiac HS)
An energetic wing that has an excellent athletic package and can handle the basketball as well. Benion is a relative unknown, but she was one of the most efficient scorers on Sunday. Not much of a shooter yet but she is a solid playmaker that uses her strength to get to the rim in transition. Excellent defender who plays with passion and works non-stop. Brala is a talent that hasn’t even scratched her full potential at this point.

5’9” SG Alicia Ortiz 2020 Hype Lady Hoopers (Crestwood HS)
Not the household name as many players in her class but, Ortiz is a scoring guard that can create space off the bounce to score the basketball with either hand. She’s a steady ball handler that doesn’t turn the ball over and plays within herself. Look for Ortiz to have a huge high school season for Crestwood as she should be the primary perimeter scorer during her junior season.

5’10” SF Lex Lyon 2020 Factory Basketball (Ann Arbor Huron HS)
Intriguing and emerging talent with a developing offensive game. Lyon is long and versatile who plays with heart and works hard on both ends of the court. She shoots it well from 15 feet and can also score in the post with either hand, runs well in transition, and finishes second chances off of offensive rebounds.
