  • 6'2" Claire Neff 2020 G Philadelphia Belles
It would be much much more comfortable to write about what Claire Neff didn’t do than to attempt to do what I’m about to do. Anyway, Neff’s a phenomenal all-around talent. She spills that talent all over the floor because of how hard she plays. She’s a guard in a 4s body which makes her even harder to deal with at both ends of the court. She plays off her shot fake exceptionally well. She can play off that shot fake because she has excellent range on her jump shot. I’ve watched her shoot about a dozen free throws, and she hasn’t missed one. Neff is deadly in transition with the ball in her hand. She makes 3/4 court passes with the precision of a great quarterback. But if she doesn’t give it up, watch out, cause she is a runaway train. Skill level and IQ are off the charts, and so is her game.

  • 5'9" Audrey Roden 2021 G Nike Team Northwest
Audrey has a lot going for her. Let's say she’s got some “DOG!” AKA, she got a competitive spirit about her. She can score at all three levels and has a nice looking pull-up jumper. She uses her plus handle and speed to make plays for herself and teammates. Versus the Carolina Flames, Roden made two threes, a layup, and a mid-range jumper in a matter of minutes showing onlookers her ability to score in bunches. Roden’s energy is off the charts and infectious. I could hardly take my eyes off her, and I know there will be a few coaches who feel the same way.

5'7" Alyzza Winston 2019 PG MI Crossover EYBL
Alyzza Winston is fast! Freaky fast with the ball. She can go 0-100 real quick. Her herk and jerk style of play was the catalyst for a hard-fought win over the Lady Gym Rats Saturday evening. Winston’s ability to get to any spot she wanted to on the court and draw multiple defenders gave shooters opportunities to set their feet to get great shots off. Her offensive arsenal also included pull-ups, floaters, and 3 pointers. No one impacted the game at a higher level than this dynamic point guard. There’s no doubt she will make a significant impact at the next level as well.

6'5" Cyndi Dodd 2019 C Lady Gym Rats EYBL
I was impressed with Cyndi Dodd and her impact in the Crossover/Gym Rats 85-81 thriller. There was no answer for her. She used her body extremely well to get easy bucket after easy bucket. Dodd’s hands are hot butter soft and teammate PG Shaila Beeler (also her teammate on the 2018 4A Indiana State Championship team at Warren Central) knew just where to put the ball for Dodd to catch and finish. Even more exciting for those watching was the excitement with which Dodd played, pumping her fist and giving celebratory yells on a few AND 1's. Cyndi is not the same Cyndi I saw six months ago...she’s better! (Committed To Michigan State)
