Charlotte, NC – The 5th Annual Carolina JamFest gave us a look at some of the best teams in the region. The weekend was loaded with very competitive games and ended on an exciting note with 1Dream 17u edging out Lady Team SC Black 43-40 in the championship game of the Super 8 Division.  Part 1 of the LBI event recap features some of the top players of the weekend.

Solid physique, great offensive skill level, ability to catch and shoot with a quick release, consistently hits the short floater with either hand, very physical rebounder.

Fiesty, competitive, dual guard, dribbles with a purpose, beautiful mechanics on jumpshot, quick trigger, good court sense, finds open pockets for jumpshots in transition, solid defender, looks to get ball up court in transition.

Maleia Bracone 2020 Team SC Black
Nice college ready physique, excellent fundamentals on both ends of the floor, penetrates gap, makes the correct pass, catch and shoot ability, finishes with contact, good teammate, relentless on ball defender.

Amiah Lindsay 2019 Palmetto Heat
Solid lengthy frame at the PF position, shot blocking specialist, very athletic, runs the floor like a guard, has the ability to bring the ball up court, finishes over opponent in traffic, can hit the 10ft jumper consistently

Stocky strong solid build, physically tough, high IQ, nice high arching jump shot with a beautiful form, readily shoots the 3 ball, calm in intense moments, floor leader

Solid athletic physique, runs floor well, guard like ability, finishes in open court, good timing on blocking shots, handles the ball up court, anticipates rebounds very well, protects and chins ball at all cost, very physical.

Solid stature, finishes with both hands around the rim, looks to attack defender, creates steals in passing lanes

High motor PG, competitive, good ball handling skills, penetrates lane, good defender

Long athletic guard, crafty handles, maintains control of possession down hill, plays both ends, makes the right pass, solid defender

Tough, competitive guard, nice form, hits 3 ball

High motor, deep 3pt shooting range, quick release, can shoot off the dribble, good defender

Jordan Mclaughin 2019 1Dream 17u
Spearheaded an impressive comeback in the championship game of the Super 8 division. Very quick guard that is deadly off the dribble,  lockdown defender, vocal leader of one of the regions best teams.

Daphney Saylor 2019 Lowcountry Premier 11th
Very tough around the rim, rebounds both ends, high motor, did a good job finishing plays with contact.

Showed off a consistent mid range jump shot,  very strong with the ball, has college ready body, made several good defensive plays.

Point guard is tough as nails, does all of the little things to keep her team in the game, nice handle, finishes strong attacking the basket, lock down defender.
