LBI March Madness

“I Got Next!”

While LBI March Madness tournament showcased some really good teams the event also featured some kids that are sure to make noise over the next few years in high school and hopefully beyond. Here is our take of “I Got Next!”

Bria Copeland 2023 PG CLT Flames 2023
Copeland has a great handle to go along with the aggression that she plays with. She is a strong guard that welcomes the contact often coming up with the old fashion And-1. Also knocks down the 3 ball just to keep you honest.

Shimiya Taylor 2022 G Carolina Lady Fire
Taylor plays with a chip on her shoulder and backs it up with her play. She is a high energy kid that does it all and plays every possession like its her last. Taylor loves to attack off the dribble but also has a good stroke from beyond the arc.

Mia Xerras 2023 PG Team Felton
Might be hard to find a more complete 2023 guard in the Carolina’s. Xerras does it all, the 3 ball is deadly but the handle and playmaking off the dribble is next level.

Olivia Randolph 2024 Post JE Elite
Randolph is a very raw prospects but the God given talent puts her ahead of most that are putting lots of hours. She is already 6’ and has a fluidity to her that is unusual in a young post player. A natural shot blocker and rebounder, the upside is huge and she has a chance to be really special.

Milaysia Fulwiley 2023 PG SC76ers Cubs
Fulwiley has that “it” thing, she is a nightmare off the bounce and dangerous beyond the arc. Her intensity is equal on both ends of the floor. She has the chance to be the next high level guard out of the 76er camp.

Najah Lane 2022 G NC Lady Hornets Elite
Lane has what we call “that dawg” in her. She is relentless attacking the rim and finishing through the contact. She competes really hard and at a high level, willing to do whatever it takes to get the win.
