Caledonia came into tonight's match-up undefeated in conference play and an impressive overall record of 9-1. They are sitting alone on top of the OK-White Conference. Grand Rapids Christian was eager about tonight's match-up, and excited about the additions of senior standout guard Mariah McCully and super sophomore wing Edecia Beck. Both girls transferred over the summer and suited up in their first game as Eagles tonight. Grand Rapids Christian hopes to improve on their 5-5 overall record and get back into the conference title hunt.
Caledonia started the game at a fast pace, getting out to an early lead and continued to control throughout the duration of the game. Christian struggled early, trying to get into the lane and were forced to settle for contested shots early. Caledonia managed to get into their offense easier and get out and score some easy transition buckets. Christian appeared to have some struggles offensively but controlling the glass early kept them in the game
Samantha Gehrls led Caledonia with 20 points, while teammate Anna LoMonaco finished with 13 points. Mariah McCully led her team Grand Rapids Christian with 20 points and Jocelyn Taylor finished with 14 points.
