Grand Rapids Catholic Central Cougars (Class B)
They always seem to be one of the best teams in the OK Conference and this year shouldn’t be any different. Head Coach Trevor Hinshaw has plenty of pieces to work with this upcoming season. Junior post Kyra Bussell (Central Michigan commit), will pair up with talented Junior wings Sophia Karasinski (Central Michigan commit), Myka Cromwell and point guard Shy Huggins, to give them experience in the backcourt. Also, look for an important contribution from Freshman Mauriya Barnes, a player on the rise who can score and run the show for the Cougars. Freshman Jakarri Alven will add some athleticism to this group.

Flushing Raiders (Class A)
This team will be tough to deal with. They are extremely well coached and have players that can hurt you at every position. Their junior guards Lauren Newman and Kamryn Chappell are tough, crafty and capable of breaking an opponent's will with their consistent play.  On the interior, there may not be a better tandem than Breanna Perry and Bowling Green commit Clare Glowniak. Perry is freakishly athletic and has demonstrated that she can hurt you from the perimeter. Glowniak is a banger inside who can step out and hit the jumper. This group lost a hotly contested battle against Heritage in the tournament last year but is equipped to make a long run this year. Transfer Denya Jones will add depth and perimeter shooting when she becomes eligible in January.

Bay City John Glenn Bobcats (Class B)
Head Coach Cory Snider has quietly done a great job of building the Bobcats into a state contender. They have the tools to win it all this year, as they return several experienced starters from a 16-4 team last season. 6’3” Cassidy Boesch (Grand Valley State) is a workhouse in the paint. She is very capable of having 20 points and 10 blocks in a single game. Senior Jenai LaPorte (Grand Valley State) is a deadly shooter from deep, and with the return of Junior point guard, Kalle Martinez, the Bobcats can really push the tempo. Bay City John Glenn will play one of the toughest schedules in the state, so teams better bring their “A” game when they play the Bobcats.
