LBI Watch List

Three Post Players That Will Have A Breakout Year
Any true lover of basketball will let you know that in this game, having solid and consistent guards can get you get to the promise land. However, it doesn’t hurt if you have a banger on the block that can get you an easy basket, rebound, block shots and be a dominating force in the middle. Here are three post players that have a chance to do just that for their teams this season.

Amanda Sape 2017  6’3” Post  Bloomfield Hills HS
Sape
had a solid sophomore campaign, averaging 12 points and 9 rebounds per game. After not playing this past summer due to injury, the physical post has a chance to gain a couple of Division 1 scholarship offers this upcoming season. Sape has the skills and potential to average 20 plus points per game during her junior season and should be the primary go to player for her team.

Ashley Primas 2018  6’1”  Post  Detroit Cass Tech HS
When you’re a newcomer on a very talented team that features a Division 1 backcourt, you might not get a ton of touches in the post. This is what happened to Primas last year.  This season is totally different so watch out for the talented sophomore to have a breakout year for the Lady Technicians and be one of the best post players in the PSL. She is strong, can run the floor, finish in traffic, is a good rebounder and solid shot blocker. Primas will have the opportunity to learn from one of the best in former Cass Tech star and former Eastern Michigan assistant LaTonya Tate who is now the new head coach at Cass Tech.

Allison Peplowski 2018  6’1”  Post  Williamston HS
Peplowski helped Williamston to a 19-2 record during her freshman season and averaged 5 points and 6 rebounds per game. She started 20 out of 21 games for the Hornets, helping them secure some huge victories. Allison is a true post player that has nice footwork, can score with her back to the basket and is a good defender and rebounder. She spent this past summer working with a strength trainer which will allow her to score through contact. This should result in her averaging a double-double this upcoming season.
