LBI Recruiting News & Notes: Frazier Off To Happy Valley

Hitnz to Rocky Mountains, Taylor to St. Louis, Miller to Cincinnati

The fall recruiting season is in full effect and many prospects had had home visits, taken official visits and even ended their recruitment by given verbal commitments. Here’s what new in the world of Michigan recruitment.

The Lady Nittany Lions add Siyeh Frazier to next year’s freshmen class
2016 Detroit Renaissance HS wing Siyeh Frazier verbally committed to Penn State University this past weekend while on campus for her official visit. The LBInsider No.4 rated prospect in the class of 2016 chose the Nittany Lions over St. Louis University, St. Johns University, University of Toledo and Eastern Michigan University.

Miller will continue her career as  Bearcat
5’7” point guard Antionette Miller of Southfield Lathrup HS gave head coach Janelle Elliot and the Cincinnati Bearcats a verbal commitment on this past Sunday morning. The LBInsider 2016 No.1 rated point  guard (No. 5 overall) chose the Bearcats over the University of Toledo and Eastern Michigan University.

Elk Rapids’ Hintz heads west after high school
6’4” Bridget Hintz of Elk Rapids HS pretty unknown up until she broke through her shell and made her mark this past spring while playing with the Michigan Shock.  She has now verbally committed to the University of Northern Colorado. Hintz picked up as many as 12 scholarship offers in the month of July chose the Bears over Temple University, Oakland University  and Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) .

2017 Ellie Taylor commits early
2017 5’8” Ellie Taylor of Midland Dow HS ended her recruitment when the sharpshooter verbally committed to St. Louis University after taking an unofficial visit to the “Show Me State” this past weekend. Taylor held several Mid American Conference offers to come her way. She will look to have a good junior campaign after averaging 13 points and 5 rebounds in her sophomore season.

Big names travel to Okemos to see 2019 Prospect
University of Minnesota, Michigan State University and St. Louis University have all made a trip to Okemos HS to watch 5’10” 2019 Laya Hartman . Hartman holds offers from both in-state Big 10 schools, Purdue University, Villanova University,  University of Minnesota and Oregon State University.
