Bello twins headed to the Big Ten

Already known as the Twin Cities, the University of Minnesota added to it's nickname Saturday night when 6’2" twin post players Taiye and Kehinde Bello of Southfield Lathrup HS (MI) ended their recruitment and verbally committed to the Golden Gophers.

Playing alongside Amber Jamison (Northwestern) & Ericka Davenport (Marquette) last year on a very talented Michigan Storm travel squad, as well as playing on one of the state's top high school teams, the Bello’s learned quickly how to compete at a high level. Having over 20 scholarship offers from various conferences around the country, the Bello’s chose the Minnesota Golden Gophers. “They felt extremely comfortable with the coaching staff and players on their visit. Academics fit both of their interest and the coaching staff was consistent during the recruiting process”, says Michigan Storm Director Jeff Taylor.

Congratulations to Kehinde and Taye Bello on joining the list of elite freshmen that will be entering the Big 10 conference in the 2016-17 season.
