All Star Girls Report Tournament of Champions kicked off in Suwanee

All Star Girls Report Suwanee Tournament of Champions kicked off July 5th in Suwanee, Ga.128 teams traveled to the suburb of Atlanta to show off their talents in front of hundreds of college coaches.

Player Highlights

Ashley Jones 2017 5’7" Guard Philly Triple Threat 17u
Jones was the complete package on day 1. The silky smooth point guard led her team to a big win. She did everything from knocking down the three ball to making great decisions to put her teammates in positions to score.

Danae McNeal 2019 5’8" Guard SC 76ers Cubs
A lot of hype has followed McNeal after learning that she received a scholarship offer from South Carolina before playing her first high school game. She has lived up to all of the expectations. The long point guard attacked the rim, displayed a good handle and did a great job keeping her teammates involved. The future is very bright for this talented young lady.

Triangle Tarheels back court duo of Alissa Smalls 2018 5’8" Point Guard and Alcenia Purnell 2019 5’9" Guard will be fun to watch over the next couple of years. These talented players play so well together and will be a problem for opposing teams on the circuit. Smalls is a prototypical point guard; she rarely makes a bad decision and knows how to pick her spots. Purnell is a hardnosed player with an advanced skill set that gives 100% on every play.

Jamiya Turner 2019 5’6" Point Guard Orlando Yellow Jackets
Turner played a great game at the point. She is very advanced in the position for her age. She made great post entry passes, displayed a good handle, and was her team’s vocal leader on the floor. This prospect will be scary in the years to come.
