Marquette University Elite Camp Standouts

Milwaukee, WI- Girl basketball players from all over the region hit the court of the Al McGuire Center on the campus of Marquette University for their annual elite camp. The coaching and camp staff did a phenomenal job of teaching, developing and correcting the girls basketball skills and techniques through drills, clinic stations, and one on one and team scrimmaging. 

Player Highlights

Olivia  Russell  2019  6'  Post  (Rising 8th Grader)
Russell was very active throughout the entire day. She did a great job running the court during full court drills and scrimmages. Her active and competitive spirit was also noticed by the coaching staff and Olivia was named the Top Competitor of the camp. She is a player in the Michigan Crossover program.

Kayla Brown  2017  5’7"   PG  Dearborn Heights Robichaud Brown showcased her versatility and her ability to be a true point guard. She made great moves to get to the basket to create a shot for herself or her teammates. She was superb in the drills showing her strong fundamental skills. She was very vocal during scrimmage play and did a great job giving directives and organizing her squad. Brown earned the camps Leadership Award. Kayla will be on the circuit with the Indy Gym Rats this summer.

Maddy Moyer  2017  5’8”  Guard  Mentor HS
Maddy was an all around strong player for the duration of the camp. She went game speed in all the drills and stations. She was a strong leader during scrimmage play and showed her pure shooting ability as well. Moyer's hard work paid off during the one on one competition and was one of the camps top one on one honorees. She will be hitting the road with the Toledo Thunder.

Kamaria McDaniel  2017  5’9”  Guard  Dearborn Heights Robichaud HS
Kamaria was very active in every drill and scrimmage during the camp. She volunteered to help demonstrate drills and station work and was not shy about answering questions that the coaches' asked to the group. During scrimmage play, McDaniel had two big blocks and some defensive stops that earned her the Defense Award for the day. She will be playing with the Michigan Crossover during summer evaluation.

Alexis Johnson  2019  5' 11"  Forward   (Rising 8th Grader)Johnson is a young athlete that is developing at a very fast pace. She plays without fear and very strong and she showed this during the camp. She hustled and went full speed in all drills and scrimmage play. Alexis was one of the participants that earned top one on one awards during the camp. She is a player within the Michigan Crossover program.
