Central Michigan Elite Camp Standouts

Mt. Pleasant, MI - Over 50 campers took the trip to Mt. Pleasant on Saturday afternoon to attend the Central Michigan Elite Camp. The camp was filled with continuous drills and games that kept the campers busy. Here is a look at the standout players from the camp.

Averi Gamble  2016  6’3”  Post  Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart HS
A big body post that takes up a lot of space in the paint, Gamble got deep position on the blocks and scored very well around the rim from either side. She is a solid rebounder in her area and also can defend the post. This is a kid that once she puts it all together could be an impact player at the next level for the right school.

Camree’ Clegg  2018  5’5”  PG  Wayne Memorial HS
Clegg is quickly becoming one of the best point guards in the 2018 class. She showed great court awareness as she found many teammates in transition for three point shots and also knocked down a few triples of her own. She plays with a lot of passion and is slowly becoming a complete point guard.

Gracie Cabana  2017  5’6”  PG  Grass Lake HS
Cabana is the primary ball handler for her high school team, but at the camp she played off the ball and displayed her shooting skills. Cabana made nearly every open shot that she took showing good mechanics and a quick release. She is a feisty defender that is always going after every rebound and loose balls.

Kayla Belles  2018  6’2” Post  Ithaca HS
Belles was one of the top players at the camp. She has good hands and is very effective on the low block, scoring over her defender with solid post moves. She blocked several shots that led to transition points for her team and also rebounded the ball on both ends of the floor. She is a young post that will develop into one of the top post players in her class.

Kamaria McDaniel  2017  5’9”  Wing Guard  Robichaud HS
Kamaria was very aggressive with the ball her in hands as she showed a quick first step that allowed her to get into to the paint. She made a few pull-up jumpers and also made some nice assist to her post players. McDaniel also made a couple of three point shots as she shot them in rhythm.

Lauryn Carroll  2017  5’5”  PG  Arbor Prep HS
Carrol is a quick intense guard that is always playing hard. She handled the ball in the open floor and made some tough layups showing she is not afraid of contact. A good on the ball defender and she also uses her quickness to apply pressure all over the floor.
