Jasmine Forte had a solid day at the Philly Face Off

Kyara Frame had a monster game for Fairfax from the point position

Melton, NJ - The 2015 Philly Face Off featured some of the most talented teams from the DMV to upstate New York all under one roof. There were plenty of well known players in this event but what caught my eye was the up and coming talent as well as a couple of upperclassmen that are flying under the radar. Overall this event was off the hook and exciting! The tournament director Ryan Garner did a great job operating a well organized event with top notch talent.

Jasmine Forte  2018  6'3"  Post  PSPA Rams 15U
Forte is an athletic shot blocker that was an undeniable presence on the court. She can jump out of the gym which she displayed when she was crashing the boards. She is strong offensively, and plays very aggressive around the rim.

Courtney Warley  2017  6'3"  Post  PA Comets-Genther
Very raw and athletic, Warley  rebounds the ball well and is a good passer from the high post. Her ability to attack the basket off the dribble from the perimeter  was impressive. She has a huge upside and lots of potential.

Jasmie Brunson  2016  5’6" Guard   Positive Direction
Brunson showcased her skills on both ends of the court.  A lock down defender with a nose for the ball. She is also an excellent ball handler that  keep the defenders on their heels. She has great court vision and often finished through contact.

Anndrea Lloyd  2016  6'2"  Post  Philly Freedom Stars 16 Black
Lloyd is a very strong post player with solid post moves, who actually welcomes contact under the rim. She has good hands, so even when she is bumped she is able to catch the ball and finish. Due to her being a flat out tough kid, she has no problem battling for a rebound and putting her body on another player.

Dakota McCaughan  2020  5' 2"  PG  Philly Triple Threat-8th
A  lock down defender that can shoot the three ball is a quick summary of McCaughan. This small but mighty force pushed the ball up the court with speed and confidence. She utilized her high IQ and great court vision to create positive situations for her team.

Nadjy Tyler  2019   6'2"  Post  Philly Triple Threat-8th
Tyler is a long athletic post player who will eventually transition to the wing. She is already light on her feet with a very effective face up to the basket game. She is a game changer on defense with her rebounding ability and shot blocking skills.

Kyara Frame  2017  5'6"   PG   Fairfax  Stars 16U  Showcase
A vocal leader on the court, Frame is a true point guard. Her basketball IQ is high and she ran the pick and roll like a pro. She got to the lane at will and created opportunities for herself and her teammates. She is also a great defender that kept constant pressure on the opposing teams guards.

Hannah Nihill  2017  5'5"  PG   PA Comets-Genther
Nihill has everything you want in a point guard.  She has great court vision and can handle the ball under pressure. She  is a knock down three point shooter and was fearless attacking the rim amongst the trees. Hannah is a scrappy defensive player that converts defense to offensive for her team.

Ashley Owusu  2019  5'11"  Guard  PA Rams 15U
Owusu was very impressive at the Philly Face Off. She is a high volume scorer that made some very tough shots with contact. She is a very confident player and it shows in her game. She has strong ball handling skills and her potential is remarkable. Look for her to make noise for the next several years.
