The Haslett girls’ basketball team has had its shares of ups and downs this season. Dealing with multiple injuries and some tough losses has seemingly battle tested this group. Despite their adversity, they seem poised to make a deep playoff run. Thursday's Regional Championship playoff game against Wayland was a test they would pass with flying colors.

Haslett seemed to control the pace of the game early on and lead by as many as 14 points early in the 3rd quarter. Wayland would not go away easily. Back to back 3 pointers by CJ Miller and a deep 3 by Presley Hudson changed the momentum of the game. Wayland turned up the defense and tied the score heading into the fourth quarter. Haslett regained control in the fourth quarter. They were able to withstand Wayland’s pressure, hit free throws and make key plays to seal the deal.

Haslett's victory was due in part to the sharp shooting of Northwood University commit Adrianna Stolicker, who led all scorers with 24 points. Presley Hudson led Wayland with 19 points. Haslett advances to the Quarter Finals and will meet Grand Rapids Catholic Central on Tuesday, March 17.
