Tania Davis Will Look To Lead Goodrich To It's Third Championship In Four Years

Class B 2015 MHSAA Regional Preview

Region 9 @ Hopkins:

Teams: Plainwell, Marshall, Sturgis, Benton Harbor

Overview: Plainwell will be tough, as senior Sarah Morrell is capable of putting up huge numbers. However, when you have the best scorer in the state in Kysre Gondrezick who is capable of giving an opponent 40 plus on any given night, I can’t go against that.

Favorite: Benton Harbor

Region 10 @ Adrian:

Teams: South Lyon East, Chelsea, Flat Rock, Jackson Northwest

Overview: All four of these teams are similar in style and have at least one marquee player. Any of these teams could advance to the quarterfinals, but in the end Flat Rock will advance by winning two very close games.

Favorite: Flat Rock

Region 13 @ Charlotte:

Teams: Wayland Union, Haslett, Ionia, Belding

Overview: Wayland has Miss Basketball candidate Pressley Hudson and she has the scoring ability to take over any game. Haslett is at full strength now and is playing its best basketball at the right time.

Favorite: Haslett

Region 15 @ Caro:

Teams: Midland Bullock Creek, Frankenmuth, Freeland, Goodrich

Overview: Bullock Creek recently received a scare from a very good Bay City John Glenn team in the district semifinals game. Frankenmuth has the size to play with anybody, but as long as Miss Basketball candidate Tania Davis is wearing a Goodrich uniform, the Lady Martians will have no worries.

Favorite: Goodrich

Region 11 @ Dearborn Divine Child

Teams: Detroit Consortium, Detroit Henry Ford, Dearborn Divine Child, Warren Fitzgerald

Overview: Divine Child is just too big and fundamentally sound to lose in the regional. Look to see them advance to the quarter finals.

Favorite: Dearborn Divine Child

Region 12 @ Imlay City

Teams: Detroit Country Day, Chandler Park, Croswell-Lexington, Macomb Lutheran North

Overview: Country has a dynamic sophomore duo in Destiny Pitts and Tylar Bennett. When you add super Freshman Kayla Webb into the mix, it will be very hard to upset the Yellowjackets.

Favorite: Detroit Country Day
