Can Blissfield Handle The Gators Pressure

Ypsilanti Arbor Prep/Blissfield Game Preview

Game Time 7pm

Whitmore Lake High School

Arbor Prep has played one of the toughest schedules in the state this season. They have wins over Country Day and Grand Rapids Catholic Central, two Class B power houses. Blissfield comes in with a 22-1 record and will be looking to upset the Gators.

The Gators will look to play at a fast pace by applying full & half court pressure throughout the night. 5’5” Senior Zakia Wells is an excellent on ball defender that will make it very difficult for the Blissfield guards. 5’9” Junior Nastajja Chambers is a very versatile wing that thrives in the open floor.  5’9” sophomore Kelsey Wyman is a great ball handler, shoots very well, can finish at the rim in traffic and is the leader of the Blissfield team.

Keys To Victory

Arbor Prep:
Arbor Prep must take the ball out of Wyman’s hands and make her teammates handle the ball more than they are used to doing.  Prep must make this a full court game.

Blissfield:
The Royals will need to keep the ball in Wyman’s hand as much as possible in order to withstand Arbor Prep’s pressure defense.  Blissfield should try and slow the game down, forcing Arbor Prep to play a half-court game.

Prediction:
Arbor Prep plays tenacious defense and is just too fast and talented which should give the Royals problems all night long. Look for the Gators to advance on Tuesday night.
