2028 Kenna Hunt had a game high 21 points in a victory over Plymouth Salem which landed her spot on the BEST OF MICHIGAN HOLIDAY CLASSIC ALL WADESWORLD TEAM

Belleville, MI: The Best of Michigan Holiday Classic was the place to be Saturday, baselines packed with coaches, gyms buzzing, teams locked in, and elite talent all over the floor. From start to finish, the energy was high and the hoops absolutely delivered. Here are a few players from each game who separated themselves and stood out.

Makayla Schlorf 2026 Tecumseh
Makayla Schlorf had a significant impact in Tecumseh’s win. She shot the ball exceptionally well from three, used her quickness to get into the lane, and made plays for both herself and her teammates. She rebounded the ball well for a guard and consistently made the hustle plays that don’t always show up in the box score. A strong, efficient performance that helped lead Tecumseh to a big win.

Chloe Bullinger 2026 Tecumseh
Chloe moved to the point this year, and her elite IQ and feel for the game have been on full display. She was in total command, carving up Midland’s pressure, delivering the ball to the right person at the right time, pushing the pace in transition, and confidently knocking down open jumpers. It’s honestly puzzling why Chloe isn’t a hotter recruit right now—but she keeps balling, producing, and WINNING.

Ella Mclaughlin 2028 Midland
Ella has come out on fire to start the season, shooting the ball at a high clip, attacking off the bounce, and making plays in transition. She plays with constant energy and passion, and her ability to create her own shot has taken a major step forward, elevating her game to another level. Even in a tough loss to Tecumseh, Ella was one of the clear bright spots for Midland.

Erin O’Dowd 2028 Lumen Christi
Playing with confidence at a high level, Erin came out on fire, knocking down multiple threes from the wing. She was also extremely active on both ends of the floor, impacting the game beyond scoring and giving Lumen a true Big Three alongside Hunt and Wrozek.

Lucy Wrozek 2028 Lumen Christi
Lucy continues to impress as a floor general, able to impact the game both on and off the ball. She’s a genuine triple threat, scoring, defending, and running the show when needed. Her growth from her first year to now has been tremendous, making her one of my most improved players.

Lainey Claramunt 2028 Plymouth Salem
You talk about playing bigger than your roster size. Lainey was everywhere. She scored through contact, physically attacked the rim, and rebounded at a high level. Unofficially finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds, her grit, toughness, and fantastic feel for the game stood out. It was a tough day for Salem, but a true coming-out party for Claramunt.

Lyla Valentine 2028 Howell HS
Lyla was super impressive today, handling the ball under heavy pressure without flinching or losing her handle. She was tough off the bounce, got into the lane to make plays, and confidently knocked down the open jumper. Lyla’s confidence and feel for the game are going to be huge for Howell this year.

Gabby Piepho 2026 Howell HS
Gabby has been and continues to be one of the best shooters in the state, and this year she’s clearly elevated her floor game, making her even more dangerous. While the attention will rightfully be on Lilly, Howell will only go as far as Gabby’s ability to stretch the floor and impact the game with her all-around skill set. The Northwood commit looks ready, willing, and able!

Makayla Campbell 2028 Detroit Edison
Makayla was fearless today, consistently attacking off the bounce, scoring over taller defenders, and confidently knocking down shots from the outside. She played with pace and toughness, was quick with the dribble, relentless on the defensive end, and brought nonstop energy. Her performance looked like a preview of a big year ahead.

Maria Walker 2028 Detroit Renaissance
I’ve rarely seen a game swing so dramatically off one player’s ball pressure, but that’s precisely what happened when Walker turned it up defensively. Her ability to force turnovers and convert in transition completely flipped the game and helped Renny pull out an overtime win. She also knocked down the jumper from deep and ran the show, an impressive night for the rising sophomore.

Jae’bri’an Autry 2026  Detroit Renaissance
Autry just gets buckets in every way imaginable. She glides in transition, can really shoot it, scores through contact, stays active, and always finds a way to put points on the board. She was huge for Renny in the OT win today, scoring and rebounding at a high level.

Jayla Laster 2028 Saginaw Heritage
Jayla is a tough, physical guard who can really shoot it from deep, but she’s at her best playing downhill, attacking, and scoring. She can create her own shot and did a great job today getting contested buckets, nearly winning it with a tough baseline jumper with a defender draped all over her.

Josie Ode 2028 2028 Saginaw Heritage
The engine that makes Heritage go, Ode is a smooth, tall guard who can handle it, score it, and play at an incredible pace with an excellent feel for the game. She’s a mature floor leader capable of taking over when needed, and I expect her to have a huge year.

Paisley Stephens 2028 Belleville
Paisley has made a habit of wowing the baseline, and today was no different. Whether she was grabbing a rebound from the guard spot, going coast-to-coast to drop a sweet dime, or freezing a defender and scoring it herself, Paisley is must-see. She’s the true definition of a do-it-all guard, stuffing the stat sheet in every category.

Se’Crette Carter 2026 Belleville
Possibly the best shooter in the state, Carter, a Miss Basketball candidate, may be no secret to opponents, but she still finds a way to get open and bury threes. She finished today with 13 points and four rebounds, knocking down three triples while also serving as a key piece of Belleville’s lockdown defense. Belleville looks primed for another title run, and Carter is a huge part of the puzzle.

Regan Braaten 2027 Berea-Midpark OH
It took about five seconds to see who the go-to player was for Berea. Braaten was tough off the bounce, physical, could really shoot it, and played with a relentless, fear-no-one motor. Even with Belleville bringing pressure all game, she showed zero hesitation—attacking the rim and pouring in 21 points.

Kaylee King 2026 Wayne Memorial
King has great hands, great feet, and a strong frame, and she showed real toughness on both ends while also flashing a soft touch. She had a big night, stuffing the stat sheet with points, blocks, rebounds, and assists. King is clearly one of the hottest still-available prospects in the 2026 class.

Sheridan Beal 2026 West Bloomfield
Heating up quick is what Beal does, and today was no different. She’s a big-time scorer who can get a bucket from anywhere on the floor, knocking down shots from deep, hitting the pull-up, and getting to the rim at will. Every time Wayne tried to create separation, Beal answered with a run of buckets to keep it close. I expect Beal to put up crazy numbers this year.

Londyn Hall 2026 West Bloomfield
Hall was one of the most impressive players I watched today. She’s physical and agile, has excellent hands, finishes well, and runs the floor with good speed. Her toughness down low really stood out, and she’s shaping up to be one of the top post players in the state this year.

Kendal Tokar 2028 Ovid-Elsie
A fiery lead guard who plays with lots of emotion. Really locks down on defense and pushes the tempo on the offensive end. She does a good job attacking the paint and creating for herself and her teammates. Hit a big time shot, which ended up being the game-winner for her squad.

Natasha Shell 2027 Cass Tech
Shell is what makes Cass Tech go! A high energy player who gets it done on both ends. A big-time shot maker who engineered Cass Tech’s comeback win against a tough Dexter team. She’s a very active defender who wreaked havoc on opposing teams' guards, causing multiple turnovers and bad mistakes. Finished with 24 points in the win.

Layla Blumberg 2028 Dexter
A dynamic scorer who showed she can really fill it up on all 3 levels. Blumberg is a savvy point guard with a great handle, good court vision, and a knack for making big shots during pressure situations. The match up against Natasha Shell (Cass Tech) was epic and one of the best battles that we have seen at Best of Michigan Holiday Classic.

Delaney Deboer 2028 Midland Dow
Deboer came out on fire, knocking down multiple threes in the first half. An aggressive guard who showed she can be dangerous, attacking from the wing. She rebounded well on the defensive end and welcomed contact when attacking the paint.

Gabriella Gojcaj 2026 Eisenhower
Tough guard that defends multiple positions and rebounds out of her area. She finishes strong when attacking the rim and plays through the contact. Gojcaj was the glue player for Eisenhower in their big win at the Best of Michigan Holiday Classic.

Delaney Brown 2029 Tecumseh
Young high IQ point guard that plays with a chip on her shoulder. Her energy and confidence sets her apart from other young point guards playing on the varsity level. Dangerous when she gets downhill, attacking the paint. Can also knock down the three ball. She’s a tough defender and has a great feel for the game.
