Ann Arbor, MI:  Day two was all about championships and the players in the gym were locked in and ready for battle. The competition was heavy, and teams were crowned, but not before a number of players caught my eye!

Gabby Helsom 2026 Wing Always 100 Elite 2026 3SSB
Gabby showed everyone in the building why she is considered one of the best shooters in the Midwest. Using great footwork, a nice ability to get open, and a sweet stroke to knock down multiple threes this weekend. She saved her best for Championship Sunday, hitting eight threes in the Semi-final victory over the Crossover. The Rockets are getting a good one!!

Harlem Simpson 2027 Guard Michigan Crossover 17U EYBL
Harlem is an outstanding floor general with a great handle, a nice feel for the game, and the ability to shoot it from deep. Running the point spot with new players is not an easy task, but Harlem did a great job finding a good balance of scoring and assisting her teammates. A big time breakout spring and summer on deck for this Michigan top 5 2027 guard.

Grace Scharlach 2027 Guard Always 100 Elite 17 3SSB
Grace is the ultimate tough playmaker at the guard spot. She plays with an extremely high motor, running the show and affecting the game on both ends of the floor. She hits the three, attacks off the bounce, and thrives in transition. Grace does whatever it takes to win.

Madisyn Aldridge 2027 Guard Michigan Crossover 16U EYBL
Madisyn did a great job attacking the bounce and aggressively putting pressure on the defense with physical finishes in the lane. She made the right read in transition and applied consistent pressure on the ball defensively.

Elle Lorente 2027 Wing Michigan Premier S40
Just an inch of daylight is all Elle needs to get her three off, and usually, it's nothing but net. A smooth shooter with great size, Elle does a great job moving without the ball and finding her shot. She scored the ball well and showed that she could put it on the floor and create a shot when they ran her off the line.

Kiara Harris 2027 Wing Sports City Angels
Kiara was tough to handle all weekend. She scored through contact in the lane, put the ball on the floor, got to the basket, and was tough on the boards. All good teams have a player that can contribute in many ways and do a lot of things well, Kiara fits that role perfectly for the Angels.

McKenzie White 2029 Center Always 100 Elite 2028 3SSB
If she catches in the paint, it’s a wrap. One of the toughest players in the gym, with strong hands and a soft touch, McKenzie dominates the paint with great footwork and a great feel for the game. Only an 8th grader, she is only scratching the surface, which doesn’t seem fair, but she’s coming!

Adalyn Jarchow 2028 Guard Michigan Premier 15U S40
I had seen Adalyn play a few times, and each time I wrote down that she was a shooter. Well, she is a shooter but she also showed that she can handle the ball, make plays off the bounce and lead her team on both ends of the floor. Adalyn was one of the pleasant surprises in all my write ups today!

Londyn Hall 2026 Forward Michigan Storm 17U GUAA
The Storm made it to the final, led the whole first half of the game, and a lot of that was because of the big-time physical play of Londyn Hall. She dominated the boards, finished in the paint, and played great defense, protecting the lane. The Storms highly skilled guards, and with the play of Hall, look like they will be a team to check out moving forward.

Taylor Lloyd 2028 Guard West Michigan Drive 16U P24
Taylor was exciting to watch this weekend. She is a cat quick guard who played the game with a high IQ and a nice feel for the game. She did a nice job finishing in traffic and knocking down the open shot.
