The Finale & GUAA Finals in Hamilton, Ohio, was the place to be this past weekend. The teams were stacked, the sidelines were full, champions were crowned, and the players showed up and showed out. Here are a few who stood out.

Dania McClain 2025 Post Michigan Storm 17U GUAA
Dania is a big-time athlete who plays with great intensity and an extremely high motor. She did a great job using her length and leaping ability to dominate both ends of the floor. Her ability to second jump quicker than most could jump once allowed her to finish in the lane, rebound, and block and alter shots on defense. Dania has been one of the hottest stock risers in July, picking up multiple offers in the last few weeks.

Natalie Wetzel 2025 Wing Western PA Bruins 17U GUAA
Natalie is a straight bucket. Any way you want it, she can deliver. She can shoot it from deep, score in transition, and do a great job scoring through contact. The Canes are getting one who looks ready to help right away.

Amy Terrian and Anna Terrian 2025 Guards Wisconsin Lakers GUAA
Usually, the conversation on the baseline with twins is, “Can we take both?” In this case, MSU is getting two guards that will be hard-pressed to keep off the floor. Tough as nails, physical guards who make plays on both ends of the floor. They can shoot it, they can create their own shot, and they get to the basket and physically punish defenders while finishing. The biggest intangible for both is their motor and how intense they are on offense and defense. I can’t wait to see them suit up for Sparty.

Destiny Jackson 2025 Guard Example Sports GUAA
Destiny has the full package at the guard spot. She mixes speed, handle, and strength to dominate with elite playmaking and a big-time ability to score the rock. She has unlimited range on the jump shot and is super crafty with her finishes around the rim. In typical Chicago fashion, she is a lockdown defender on the ball who likes to get inside and rebound with the post players. Destiny is flat out fun to watch.

Kennedy Holman 2026 Guard IGB GUAA 2025
Kennedy is an exceptional playmaker and leader. Her skill set with the rock is next level, weaving through the defense and making the right read to set up her teammates. She has great length and speed and uses both to be effective on both ends of the floor. She is definitely one of the top Pg1s in her class.

Kaitlyn Geurink 2025 Wing MBA GUAA
Kaitlyn had a great weekend, scoring the ball at a high level. She has a great feel for the game, moving without the ball, finding her spots, and scoring on basket cuts and in the mid-range. She put the ball on the floor, attacking the basket and creating her own shot.

Jordyn Bonema 2025 Guard MBA 17U GUAA
Jordyn is a do it all versatile wing that gets it done on both ends of the floor. She has great size, length, and speed, and she does a great job using them to score off the bounce, shooting it from deep, or finishing in transition. She rebounds at a high clip, defends at a high level and refuses to get out fought for loose balls.

Sheridan Beal 2026 Guard Michigan Storm 16U GUAA
Sheridan is in attack mode all game. She is a physical guard who has a crafty handle, and she stands out playing downhill, getting to the basket, and finishing through contact. She scores it at all three levels but is super tough in the mid-range. I look for Sheridan to have a huge year for West Bloomfield this season with the absence of the twins.

Abby Sietsma 2026 Wing MBA 16U GUAA
Abby is a certified bucket. When you watch her play, you notice her crafty footwork, her soft touch, and her ability to score through and around contact. She is in constant motion on offense, allowing her the ability to find her spots to score the rock. Not only a scorer, Abby works hard to rebound at a high clip.

Maya Makaluskey 2025 Wing West Virginia Thunder GUAA RIEGO
Maya is one of my favorites to watch on the circuit. She has the college look already, with unbelievable length and height for a player who can score the ball from all three levels. She has deep range, and she plays with elite strength going to the basket. She has a great feel for the game and makes highlight reel plays on both ends of the floor. The Hoosiers definitely have an impact player coming to Bloomington.

Lauren Walsh 2025 Guard Michigan Storm 17U GUAA
Lauren is a tough, hard-nosed guard who has zero backdown. She takes caré off the rock, runs the show, and does a great job getting in the lane, creating plays off the bounce. Tough as nails, Walsh knocks down the jump shot, gets after every loose ball, and is a terror on defense.

Alexis Bordas 2025 Guard West Virginia Thunder GUAA Johnson Alexis plays with an extremely high IQ and a great feel for the game. She is in constant motion on the floor, moving without the ball finding her spots to score. When she catches and squares, you can pretty much count it as three. She is a big-time shooter with deep range and a nice ability to shoot it with defenders hanging all over her. There is always a home for a light’s out shooter, and whichever program is lucky enough to get Bordas is getting a good one.

Lily Scholl 2027 Wing OPS MCCALL 2027
I went to the court to watch an opponent, and Lily just jumped out and stole my attention. She is deceptively quick off the bounce, getting to the basket and scoring in traffic. She plays with a great feel for the game, confidence, and an attacking mindset. She definitely showed that she is a 2027 that has next!
