Livonia, MI: The Schoolcraft Community College shootout was a great chance for teams to get together, get after it, and see where they stand toward the end of June. Teams played hard and competed. Here are a few players who stood out today!

Gabby Yancura 2026 Livonia Stevenson
Gabby has a great feel for the game, good court awareness, and handles the ball with good vision, making the right high-IQ basketball play. She was aggressive, attacking the basket, looking to set up her teammates, or looking to score when necessary.

Bella Sapia 2026 Wing Livonia Stevenson
Bella is a playmaker who does a great job affecting the game inside and out. She scored in the lane on the perimeter and made some sweet passes from the high post and off the dribble. Bella is a physical wing who rebounded and defended at a high level.

Mel McMickel 2029 Guard Romulus Summitt
Still, a baby, McMickel showed me right away that she belonged and that her future is very bright. She is a physical guard with a nice handle, an aggressive mindset, and the ability to finish with both hands. She is physical and tough, with a high motor and absolutely no backdown. We will be hearing this name for a long time.

Jaida Quinn 2026 Guard Belleville
Jaida is a big-time shooter. She does a great job finding her spots and using a quick release to knock down the triple. She did a good job today creating her shot and getting to the basket off the bounce. Jaida has a chance to be a big addition to one of the best teams in the state.

Jaida Whitfield 2028 Guard Belleville
Jaida is a super athlete with a high-level skill set. Her ceiling is unbelievably high, and she showed spurts of greatness today, knocking down the long ball, handling the rock, and making plays on both ends of the floor. Jaida is another one of the young stars in the Belleville program waiting to bust out.

Briana Young 2025 Wing Bloomfield Hills
Briana does it all for Bloomfield Hills. She played and covered 1 through 5, handled the ball, and scored at a high level from the outside and off the dribble. She rebounded and pushed in transition, setting up teammates for easy baskets.

Evia Barbu 2028 Guard Bloomfield Hills
Evia was aggressive off the bounce, attacking downhill and scoring through contact. She has good size and length, and she did a great job using them on both ends of the floor. Only a 2028, the future is crazy bright for Barbu.

Leanna King 2026 Wing Detroit Mumford
Leanna was super active on the boards, rebounding at a high clip. She ran the floor very well and showed a soft touch around the rim. She plays with a toughness that all coaches would love!

Cherish Jefferson 2025 PG Detroit Mumford
Cherish is a super cat quick guard with an elite handle, vision, and court awareness. She controlled the whole game today by making plays off the bounce for herself or a teammate. She is aggressive, putting pressure on the defense and controlling the tempo.

Tai’chiauna Allen 2026 Post Wayne Memorial
Tai’chiauna is a tough rebounding post who did a great job running the floor, finishing in transition, and showing a soft touch scoring in the lane off of an assist from the Wayne guards. She defends the lane well and is the perfect mix to the Wayne high octane offense.

Gabrielle Geralds 2025 Post Wayne Memorial
Gabrielle is a big-time finisher in the lane. She works hard on both ends of the floor, establishing position and making plays off the assist or off the boards. She is a workhorse in the paint, and today, she made sure to get her hands on all the loose balls and rebounds.
