Elise Bullock 2027 Guard Grass Lake
Elise has all the tools to be a special player. She plays the game with great passion and a high motor. She was all over the floor Sunday making plays with an extremely high skill set. She shoots it well has a nice handle and showed no fear of getting in the lane to finish. Elise looks to be the next top guard at Grass Lake.
Harper Backus 2027 Center Dexter
Harper has improved so much since June that it is crazy. She was already on target to be one of the top players on her squad, but with her work ethic, strength, and ability she is now one of the top 2027s in the state. She runs the floor well, catches in traffic, and does a great job gathering herself and finishing at the basket. On Sunday she even showed some range, knocking down the jump shot from the outside. Harper is already a physical rebounder and loves to bang down low; the SEC better be ready because Dexter has a solid foundation on the inside for the next four years.
Jozelynn Begick Wing 2027 Freeland
Jozelynn is a long skilled wing who plays the game with a great feel and an extremely high skill set. Throughout the day she displayed a nice handle, a sweet shot, and as a young player, she already does a great job using her length to make plays on both ends of the floor. During the Station work, she drew a lot of attention with her versatile ability to do so many things at a high level. Only scratching the surface, Jozelynn looks to have all the tools to be highly touted and talked about before her Freeland career is over.
Kendyl Musielewicz Guard 2027 Quincy
SHOOTER ALERT!!!!! Kendyl displayed one of the prettiest shots in the building this weekend. She knocked down multiple threes in competition and shot it at a high clip during station work. Not just a shooter she showed a nice handle solid D and an ability to make plays off the bounce. Quincy got a good one!!!
Mckynley Gaddy Guard 2027 Michigan Center
Mckynley is going to be a big time PG1 for Michigan Center for the next four years. She plays the game with great passion a high IQ and has the ability to control the tempo with her handle and her feel for the game. She is a quick twitch guard who gets to her spots and seems always to make the right decision. She was a tough defender and didn’t back down from anyone; she stood out pushing the ball in transition and making plays.
Addison Zajac Center 2027 Tecumseh
Addi plays the post position well beyond her years. She does a great job establishing position, demanding the ball, and then catching and using her strength, footwork, and soft touch to finish in the paint. Showcase games are usually just conditioning drills for post players, but Addi adjusted and did a great job screening, rolling to the hoop catching, and playing through the high post. Addi is a HUGE addition to the Tecumseh squad that looks to make a lot of noise this year and trust me when I tell you, however far they go in March Addison Zajac will have a lot to say about it!!!
Aleeyah Alonzo Guard 2028 Michigan Storm
Aleeyah has a tight handle a sweet shot and plays with great confidence. One of my favorite moments watching her Sunday was her demanding the rock from the older girls in order to run the point; when she did get it she was able to break her defender down and make a play. She looked very skilled in the stations and will definitely be one to watch moving forward!!
Allison Nielson Guard 2029 Dearborn Dawgs
Allison is a quick guard with a nice handle and showed good range on her shot. She was a sponge in the stations, picking up on all the drills immediately and showing that with her skill set, she could keep up with the High School girls. Bright future ahead for Allison.
Brooklyn Holm Wing 2028 Michigan Mystics
Brooklyn was one of the eye catchers of the entire showcase. She has nice size, plays with good physicality and showed she could shoot it from deep. She was very aggressive in the games rebounding and making plays. Not bashful at all she showed right away that she belonged.
Halle Powell Wing 2028 Saline
Halle is a very skilled wing who can shoot it and finish effectively with both hands. She showed confidence in getting to her spots on the floor and making plays. She is strong and didn’t show any back down against the older girls; she was definitely one of the top young girls in the gym!
Londyn Newton Guard 2028 Michigan Storm
With her handle and her quickness, Londyn turned heads all day. Every station I stopped to watch, each coach mentioned that I needed to check her out. She did a great job using her handle to get wherever she wanted on the floor, she shoots it well, and she already has an assortment of finishes around the rim.
Mackenzie and Janielle Turner 2028 Queens Elite
Absolutely NO fear from these two youngsters. They only know one way to play, which is hard, aggressive, and all out. Both are highly skilled wings that can shoot it from deep finish in traffic, and they take pride in outworking their opponent. Most coaches would love to have one player like this, but some lucky coach is going to get two program changers next year!
Zariya McCray Wing 2028 Michigan Storm
Zariya is a long, athletic wing. She did a great job using her length to rebound and make plays in the paint. A few times in the games, she caught it at the high post, put it on the floor, and got by her defender to get to the hoop. That kind of versatility with her height, size, and work ethic will separate her from the pack as she continues to develop. Zariya is definitely one to keep a close eye on!
Mia Hammoud Guard 2029 Dearborn Dawgs
Mia is a gym rat; you could easily see that after a few rounds in the stations. She shot it at a high clip, had a nice handle was a sponge with the coaches, and showed creativity and elusiveness with the rock. Mia is a big- time shooter who like most great shooters are not afraid to put it up; with that confidence and her work ethic, the sky is the limit for this 7th grader!!!
Jillian Sanderson Guard 2029 Michigan Storm
It’s not much of a stretch to say that even only in the 7th grade Jillian was one of the most explosive players in the showcase. She was cat quick, with a physical handle, and showed an ability to get in the lane and make plays. She shot it well from the outside and had some pin point assist in transition. I have seen her a few times since Spring and each time I see her she is adding something to her game; if she keeps improving at this pace she will be one of the top PGs as soon as she steps foot in high school!
