The evaluation period in July had college coaches traveling across the country to scout potential student-athletes that could possibly help them compete for championships. We attended events in Chicago, Indianapolis, and Louisville where several players stood out and caught our attention.
Post Presence
In basketball, a team needs a strong player who can impact both offense and defense. Several young and experienced players fit this description. For instance, the Arkansas Mavs boast Shamira Morton (2026) and Jada Crawford (2027), both great at defense and scoring near the basket. Wisconsin commit Allie Bisballe (2024) from the Michigan Mystics is another talented player; she showed versatility by playing well inside and outside against formidable opponents in Louisville. Michigan's Lilly Williams (6'5", 2026) is one of the country's top post players, dominating the game in many ways. Kaylee King (6'2", 2026) of 1 Nation is another name to watch, a force on the low block that rebounds and finishes well. I believe King will attract some D1 attention soon.
Filling It Up
Michigan boasts two talented young basketball players who excel at shooting. 2027 Allison Crighton of the Michigan Storm went 6-6 in the first half of a game against WPA Bruins GUAA. 2026 Secrette Carter, a sharpshooter for 1 Nation 3SSB, impressed in Indy & Omaha with her deep shots both off the dribble and while spotting up. These skilled marksmen are sure to attract plenty of college coaches in the near future.
Floor Generals
Every team needs a competent leader. 2025 LeLe Bryant of 1 Nation 3SSB showcased her skills, being tough to contain off the dribble and finishing at a high rate. In Illinois, Example Sports GUAA boasts two dynamic point guards in 2025 Destiny Jackson and 2027 Shania James. Both excel in transition, mid-range shooting and pick & roll action.
July "First Half" Top Performers
2024 Jordan Popyk | Michigan Storm Rise
Jordan has great length and size. She did a great job rebounding the ball and rotating weak side to protect the lane. She shot it well from the outside and showed she could put it on the floor and make plays off the bounce. Jordan was one of the more pleasant surprises of the week.
2025 Hannah Stemple | WPA Bruins Rise
Hannah is a tough physical guard who shot it well from deep and did a great job getting inside the lane and finishing with a pull up or a tough finish at the basket. She played this week with high intensity and confidence and competed at a high level.
2027 Mia McGregor | Michigan Storm GUAA
Mia is a physically dominant guard with a mature skill set and approach to the game. She excels at attacking the basket off the bounce, finishing through contact, and her energy and motor are unmatched.
2026 Makayla Presser Palmer | WPA Bruins
Makayla is a long, athletic wing who did a great job using her athleticism and length to make plays on both ends of the floor. She has a nice handle and can score off the bounce. Today she shot it well from three, and if she continues to hit those consistently, she will be impossible to defend.
2027 Kaylee Deangelo | WPA Bruins
Kaylee is an exceptional floor general with an elite handle and a super high IQ. She has one of the best jump shots in the gym (regardless of gym), and she does a great job breaking her defender down off the dribble. She plays the point well beyond her years, and her decision making is extremely advanced.
2025 Aizlyn Albanese | Michigan Storm GUAA
Aizlyn was unstoppable this week in Indy, scoring the ball at an extremely high clip. She is a smooth wing who does not use a lot of extra energy to get the job done, she was on fire from deep, and when they closed out on her, she put it on the floor and finished at the basket. If I were giving out an award, she would definitely be one of the top players of the week.
2024 Lauren Walsh | 1 Nation 3SSB
Lauren played at an extremely high level the past few days, scoring the ball from all over the floor and getting to her spots off the bounce, allowing her to make plays for her or her teammates. What impressed me the most about Walsh is her willingness to compete at a high level on the defensive end; she was super aggressive covering the ball and showed no fear of backing down mixing it up in the paint or on the perimeter. Big time performance for her in Indy.
2024 Reagan Wilson | WV Thunder Riego
Reagan is a tough, hard-nosed, extremely smart guard who plays with a great feel for the game. She is a great floor general, and her ability to score the ball from deep, penetrate off the bounce, and make the right read separates her from a lot of guards on the floor. The Cyclones are getting a good one!
2025 Lauren Perry | Always 100 Platinum
Lauren has great size and length for a big guard, a package that with a quick release from three, and she is very hard to guard. This week she did a great job shooting the ball, putting it on the floor, and making plays. Perry showed grit on the defensive end as well, digging in and getting after it on the boards.
2024 Summer Davis | Michigan Storm GUAA
Summer is a dominant athlete who excels in transition, and this week she did a great job making plays off the bounce and using her athleticism to affect the game on both ends of the floor. She is a strong guard who has great vision, a nice handle, and an unbelievable feel for the game.
2025 Alexis Bordas | WV Thunder GUAA
Alexis is a straight bucket. She has a smooth left-hand j and the ability to shoot it from deep; she also showed that she could put it on the floor and create a shot for her or a teammate. She is a strong guard who can finish through contact and gets after it on defense.
2027 Ivanna Wilson Manyacka | BBA GUAA 2026
Ivanna is an athletic big guard with great ball skills. She has a nice handle and was aggressive, attacking off the bounce, scoring with a nice pull up or at the hoop in traffic. She rebounded the ball at a high clip, especially on the offensive end scoring off follow ups and put backs. She was effective shooting it from deep and her athleticism stood out on both ends of the floor. Wislon-Mayacka is definitely one of the top 2027 players I watched all week.
2025 Addison Mack | Minnesota Furry GUAA 2025
Addi is an extremely crafty guard who scores at a very high level. She is dangerous off the bounce attacking defenders getting to her spots and scoring at all three levels. She is an elite playmaker with great vision, a great passer and has an unbelievable feel for the game.
2024 Olivia Kulyk | MAC Basketball
Olivia is a guard with great size who is a knockdown shooter from three who also was aggressive getting to the basket and using her size and length to score on the inside. Kulyk, who was one of the big-time stock risers of the week, rebounded and defended at a high level and did a great job being a threat on both ends of the floor.
2026 Whitney Stafford | WV Thunder
Whitney is a do it all guard that can score it from all over the floor. She did a great job attacking the defense creating plays off the dribble for herself or a teammate. She has a great feel for the game; she plays at a great pace and did a great job taking what the defense gave her. Whitney is one of my stock risers of the week.
2024 Shay Ijiwoye | Jason Kidd Select
Shay was as dominant at the point position as anyone I watched this week. She is a super aggressive guard who can easily break her defender off the bounce to find a teammate or get a bucket. She is a strong guard who has exceptional quickness, vision and competes at 100% every minute she Is on the floor. Offensively or defensively, Shay is a menace to her opponents.
2025 Bryn Martin | WV Thunder UAA
Bryn is a smooth, long guard who scores the ball at a high level without any wasted energy. She can shoot it from all over, put it on the floor, and have the full package of finishes when attacking the hoop. Bryn does a great job using her dribble to get to her spots on the floor; she has a great feel for the game and when to take over and score in bunches or when to get her teammates involved.
2026 Sheridan Beal | Michigan Storm GUAA
Sheridan showed anyone that was watching that she was a straight bucket. Anyway you wanted points Sheridan delivered this week. She is a strong physical guard with a nice handle and the aggressive mindset to go at anyone who was guarding her. She scored it from three on pull ups or getting to the rack. Her squad won some big games this week, and she definitely played a big part in those wins!
2025 Kamryn Kitchen | Team Curry GUAA 2024
Kamryn is a crafty guard who plays with a big-time swagger and backs it up with the ability to score the ball from all over the floor. She can shoot it from deep but was best creating her shot off the bounce. She has great vision and an elite IQ; look for her offer list to rise after the week in the Ville.
2025 Milan Brown | Team Thrill 2024
Milan is strong, electric, quick, physical, and athletic, and plays the game with a super high motor. Just two minutes at her court and I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her. She dropped dimes, she attacked off the bounce with jaw dropping finishes, she rebounded, she did a little bit of everything, and she did it all at a high level. Milan was aggressive on both ends of the floor, bringing the intensity on defense, leading to many transition buckets for her team.
2026 Abigail Sietsema | MBA GUAA
Abby had a very good week in Louisville. She was aggressive, scoring the ball with her back to the basket, but she also showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the hoop finishing strong over and around the defense. She rebounded the ball at a high clip and provided physical defense on the interior.
2025 Victoria Gray | Michigan Mystics S40
Victoria is a beast on the floor; she is long, physical, aggressive, has a soft touch, and has a nice skill set, an ability to score the ball inside and out. She plays the game with a great motor, rebounds the ball at a high clip, and always finds a way to make winning plays. Every time Gray steps on the floor, her stock seems to rise; she will definitely be a program changer wherever she lands!
2024 Olivia Austin | MAC Irvin Fire S40
Olivia is a nightmare for defenders in transition; she is super athletic, quick, long, and has the crafty ability to finish in traffic. She is a terror on the boards when not in transition, keeping plays alive with offensive rebounds and putbacks. She has the ability to hit the three from deep, which keeps the defense honest and allows her space to create a shot off the bounce. She is a big piece to the Fires high powered offense.
