Waukesha, WI: Lady Baller Insider takes a trip to Grassroots Hardwood Midwest Classic; here are our top performers.

Jenica Lewis (2026) | Iowa Battlers
Lewis let it be known every game that she played she was the best player in the gym. Lewis’s ability to create her own shot is slim to none while also getting her teammate's open looks as she led them to a championship this weekend. Lewis going into high school is going to be scary!

Alyvia McCorale (2026) | All Iowa Attack
McCorale is a playmaker. McCorale is a bouncy guard using her first step to blow by defenders and finish around the rim with either hand. McCorale’s IQ was on display, knowing exactly where her teammates were at getting them open looks, even staying under control when teams would try to speed them up a well-rounded leader.

Mylee Stiefel (2026) | 212
Stiefel was hitting on all cylinders all weekend, shooting the lights out no matter the day or time Stiefel shot the lights out. Stiefel has a smooth stroke, is strong off the dribble, and was able to get her shot off in various ways.

Jaliyah Kinnetz (2026) | Iowa Battlers
Kinnetz got it done this weekend, extremely strong off the dribble, high motor, high IQ; the list goes on Kinnetz is a special player. Kinnetz got to her spots and showed her smooth stroke with being able to rise and knock down shots as well. Kinnetz gives 110% on both sides of the ball for an entire 40 minutes, just different.

Tylee Weite (2027) | All Iowa Attack
One kid that couldn’t be denied was Weit; having strong performances all tournament long; it was shocking to hear that she's in the class of 2027. Weite played well off-ball, finding her rhythm within the offense to give her team the advantage. Weite is strong around the rim finishing through contact on multiple occasions Weite has an excellent feel for the game.

Jayla Jackson (2026) | 1 Nation
Jackson couldn't be stopped attacking the basket, showing good footwork as she maneuvered her way around defenders to finish around the basket. On defense, Jackson gives you everything she has playing the passing lanes, guarding 94ft. Jackson doesn’t shy away from the defensive end. This isn’t the last time you will be hearing the name.

Ari Phillips (2026) | Iowa Battlers
Ari is tough, a true defender that’s in-your-face 94ft for 40 minutes. Phillips will not let you take a breath if you have the ball in your hands. Very face guard with a high motor and nice handle. Phillips Is going in the right direction approaching high school. It is rare you see a player that loves to play defense; Ari Phillips is that player! Keep an out as the summer continues.

Team Spotlight: Wisconsin Lakers
Wisconsin Lakers (2026) was only here for one day but made it known that they are no joke! Destroying anyone in their way on Saturday. The Lakers are an overall well-rounded group that doesn’t back down from anyone defeating a tough Iowa Battlers, All Iowa Attack & Mac Irvin Lady Fire in just one day of play. This team will be exciting to watch this summer as they compete in the Select 40 this summer.
