Samari Bankhead 2025 Wing Jason Kidd Select Is One Of The Top Young Prospects In The Country

Mansfield, TX: The Prime Event Finale in Mansfield Texas is one of the most exciting events of the summer matching up teams from all over the country in two days of heated competition. This year’s version was no different. You had games going to the wire, upsets, and top individual matchups. There were a number of ladies who stepped up their game all weekend here is part one of just a few that stood tall in the Texas heat!!!

Samari Bankhead 2025 Wing Jason Kidd Select
Samari is a smooth wing with great size who showed she could put it on the floor, create off the bounce, and score in the paint. She was a solid rebounder and has a lot of confidence for a young girl.

Jordan Lee 2024 Wing Jason Kidd Select
One of the best players I watched this weekend, Jordan is a strong physical guard with a high basketball IQ who has an extremely high motor. Jordan finished everything and she showed her ability to get a basket off the bounce or in transition after one of her many tough defensive stops.

Brianna Hill 2023 Guard Example Sports
Brianna has a sweet stroke from the outside and this weekend she showed her tough ability to put it on the floor and get to the rack. Brianna has good length and uses it to her advantage on both ends of the floor, look for her to have a huge High School season scoring the ball this girl gets buckets.

Kennise Johnson 2023  PG Example Sports
Kennise is a super quick athletic guard with a nice handle and a very aggressive mentality who puts pressure on the defense each possession. She did a great job controlling the tempo and making plays for herself and her teammates.

Jasmine Brown 2023 Guard Example Sports
Jasmine is a very smooth wing, she always plays under control and never gets rattled. She is an elite passer who can score the ball at all levels.  Jasmine draws attention whenever she gets the ball and she always seems to make the right read, she is big time!!

Janiyah Williams 2025 PG Banshees
Janiyah is an extremely quick guard with a high IQ, a nice handle, and a good passer. She showed her toughness many times mixing it up by grabbing boards and battling inside with the bigs. Her vision and court awareness as a young PG is well beyond her years.

Laynee Stanley 2025 PF Banshees
Laynee is a very active and aggressive forward who showed she could get buckets on the inside with nice footwork and a soft touch, but she also could hit the jump shot from the outside. She is a very strong rebounder who played with a nice balance of physicality and finesse.

Kaylah Turner 2023 PG FBG Prime
Kaylah is a super quick guard with an elite handle, vision, and a nice ability to break her defender down off the dribble. She was very effective getting to the rack and hitting the pull-up, which is a lost art for a lot of guards. Kaylah showed her clutch gene by knocking down two big free throws to win the game vs the Hoopsters.

Tatum Brown 2025 FBG Hoopsters
Tatum is a very good floor general with good court awareness, vision, and a good passer. She used her quickness to get in the lane and make plays for herself and her teammates. She also showed an ability to make some tough big shots in crunch time, she is going to be a good one in the next few years!

Jules Lamendola 2023 Guard Pro Skills
Jules is an elite bucket getter, she showed a very high basketball IQ and ability to get open to release her sweet stroke. She knocked down the three, hit the pull-up, and was effective in scoring in traffic.

Xamiya Walton 2024 PG Mac Irvin Fire
Xamiya has improved every time I watched her play. Showing off her shifty handle and ability to get to the hoop, adding that to an already lights out J her bag was on full display this weekend. She plays with elite confidence on both ends of the floor, look for that swag to continue to grow the next two years.

Tahj Bloom 2024 Forward Mac Irvin Fire
One of the best players in the country and she plays the game with great passion and is still always one of the hardest working players on the floor. Tahj does it all for the Fire, she handles the rock, rebounds, scores it, and drops dimes to an open teammate. Tahj was all over the floor this weekend making hustle plays and dominating the game with of course a smile on her face.

Skyler Jones 2023 Guard Mac Irvin Fire
Skyler is a long, athletic skilled guard who causes matchup problems for most teams and this weekend was no different. One of my favorite players to watch, Skyler scored off the bounce hit the three, and took advantage and punished smaller guards in the paint. Skyler also does a great job using her length and athleticism to cause havoc on defense.

Angelina Smith 2024 PG Mac Irvin Fire
I call her the heart and soul of the Fire Angelina didn’t let me down this weekend. She ran the show, was one of the top on the ball defenders, she grabbed up all the loose balls and got buckets when she needed to. Angelina has a very high motor and she uses her athleticism on both ends of the floor to make multiple big-time plays for the Fire.

Allie Ziebell 2024 Guard Wisconsin Flight
The Best player on the best team in her division this weekend, Allie was just flat out “very good”. She scored the rock from all three levels, she was aggressive setting the tone for her squad when she wasn’t hitting the jumper by penetrating the lane and creating open threes for her teammates. Allie also took the challenge defensively covering some of the other team’s top scorers and helping lead her team to the Premier Championship.
