Ann Arbor, MI: With over a year since the start of the lockdown and no Camps at all last summer to say there was excitement in the air at Crisler center today is an understatement. Coach KBA and her staff, along with the Wolverines squad, who for the most part, we're all on the team that made the Sweet 16 and we're only 3 points away in OT from the elite 8 welcomed a group of talented young players all looking to get better and show their stuff.

For three hours the girls went through stations, drills, and scrimmages at a very high level, and at the end, there were hugs, pictures, and a Naz Hillman (Gold medal) celebration to cap off the day. Before that, there were definitely some standouts that deserve some LBI-Wadesworld love!

2024 Riley Abney
Riley gets better every time I see her, today she showed off her improved play with a solid handle, an aggressive ability to score the ball, and her overall enthusiasm to get better and for playing the game.

2024 Joh’neah Donahue
Joh’nea is an energizer bunny on the floor she is everywhere! Joh’nea is a tough defender who has the ability to get to her spots on the floor to get buckets or make a play for her team. She also showed in the station work that she is very coachable and knows how to play the game.

2024 Jaidyn Elam
Every time I checked her basket or court Jaidyn was getting a bucket, a rebound dropping a dime, or making a tough defensive play. She has a nice shot and a nice ability to finish in traffic.

2024 Mackenzie Givens
Mackenzie is a long talented prospect that slashed to the basket, made some big time plays with the dribble she rebounded the ball well and showed in the drills and the scrimmages that she competes at a high level.

2024 Gwen Jenkins
Gwen has a real nice handle, a lot of wiggle to her game and she makes a lot of plays off the bounce. She has a high basketball IQ and great court awareness, she did a great job in a “showcase” setting running her squad, and making teammates happy with the assist.

2023 Mary Copple
Mary was her typical steady, no mistake self today, she just does everything that you ask of a guard right and does it a lot harder than most guards on the floor.  Mary has a good handle and she is a strong defensive minded guard that can score it or find her teammates for two.

2025 Lanie Grant
Lanie is very advanced for her age at the guard spot, she has a sick handle, great court vision, great court awareness and she can create her shot of the bounce. She caught my eye early in the drills and didn’t disappoint the rest of the day. Lanie has a big- time future!

2024 Alison Bisballe
It’s extremely tough for girls in the middle to shine in camps like this because they are usually guard ball dominant games. Alison used the drills and stations to show she could do a lot more than play in the middle. She handled the ball, shot from the perimeter, and showed how coachable she was. When the scrimmages got underway she rebounded at a high clip, hit the 15- footer, and even pushed the ball up the floor in transition. Alison is just scratching the surface as an interior player and I have no doubt if she chooses to this won’t be the last time we see her in a big ten arena.

2024 Leila Wells
Leila is a tough guard that is aggressive getting to the rack and plays with a high level of confidence. She scored. Today in transition, off the bounce, in the flow, and one on one. She also played at a high level on the defensive end as well. Look for a big-big year from wells this season.

2025 Rylan Buschell
Rylan is the next big-time point guard in the state of Michigan, if you love smart guards with a great handle, great court vision, super smart, and tough as nails, Rylan is your girl. Today she not only showed she can see the floor with the best of them she showed that she can shoot the jumper from deep. Hitting multiple shots today, she displayed her range by banging two threes from well past the (new) college line for her team in the scrimmage. Look for Rylan to dominate the high school game this year with her playmaking ability dropping dimes to her sister and all the other shooters at Belleville.

2024 Gabrielle Reynolds
Gabby is a long athletic guard that almost glides when she plays it looks so effortless. She slashes and has the ability to create off the dribble, she also showed she could seal and post up smaller guards on the block. The sky is the limit for this guard from Holland MI.

2023 Aysia Yokely
I have watched Aysia a lot this summer and today she showed me she was way more than a shooter. She put it on the floor, showed she could create off the bounce, and was aggressive inside and outside the 3-point line. Look for Aysia to ride the momentum of her great summer with the Michigan Crossover into a big year at Country Day.
