Belleville, MI: Day two of the Wilkins Summer League moved back home to Belleville HS but the venue was all that changed. The league picked up right where it left off from Tuesday night with a great crowd, great games, and some outstanding talent.

Maya Anderson Cass Tech HS PG 2024
Maya is a strong guard with a tight handle is physical getting to the rack. Her penetration and ability off the bounce is advanced for a rising sophomore. Big things ahead for Maya.

Ari Parker Cass Tech HS Wing 2024
Ari has a knack for finding the rock and scoring buckets. She scored at all levels and is very aggressive for a youngster. Ari also was a big factor in Cass Techs' tough pressure defense using her length to disrupt the offense and force turnovers.

Tierra Golden Wayne Memorial HS PG 2025
Tierra got that thing on a string, she has the ability with her handle to get where she wants on the floor and each time out her decision making as a young PG gets better and better. With a tough former PG as her coach you can see the path Tierra is on, she is one of the next in the long line of great PGs in Coach Mitchell's program.

Bella Anderson Woodhaven HS PF 2022
Bella is a workhorse on the inside for her squad she tough defending her paint and an aggressive rebounder who adds a nice soft touch and solid footwork in the post to make her an effective bucket getter.

Eliza Bush Arbor Prep HS PG 2025
Eliza being the young buck on a loaded Arbor Prep squad showed right away she is ready for the stage. Picking up defensively 94 feet Eliza showed she could lock up some of the best, offensively she wasn’t shy at all either she looked to knock down the open shot and handled the rock against pressure like it was an old hat. Look for Eliza to be a problem for the next 4.

Maddi Valentine Dexter HS Guard 2022
You know you have a good shooter when you challenge them and they respond by knocking down some big threes in a tough contest. I asked Maddi would she knock some down for me so I could write about her and the left sharpshooter did just that. Moving well without the ball Maddi, a pure shooter, found the open spots and knocked them down from deep. Shooters Shoot!!

Brianna Rodriguez Dexter HS PG 2022
Brianna is a joy to watch play the game, she handles the ball she is always under control and she knows how to get her teammates in the right spot for open shots. Being a former PG myself I love watching guards who understand pace and Brianna does a great job not letting the defense dictate her tempo. Soccer is her first love but if she keeps playing like this she will have a tough decision for college.

Shani Lewis Belleville HS Guard 2022
Shani had the jumper clicking tonight, finding her spots she knocked down some big shots to help her squad go 1-1, playing very well both games. Shani is definitely a shooter!!!

Maddy Benard Gross Point South PG 2025
Maddy was in her zone tonight, creating off the dribble hitting the j when they backed up she pretty much scored at will. Maddy is adapting very nicely to High School Basketball!!

Navaeh Anderson Romulus Summit Guard 2023
Naveah provides all the intangibles for her Summit squad, her intensity and ability to affect the game in all phases makes her a very important part of what they get done on the floor. Naveah looks to do it all and has success slashing and making plays.

Lainey Garbarz Gabriel Richard HS Wing 2022
You talk about a player doing it all, Lainey the leader of this young talented squad does it all for the Irish. She makes big time plays with the ball or off the ball. Never inactive Lainey slashes for buckets, hits the open shot, rebounds the basketball at a high clip, drops dimes to her teammates, and is the vocal leader on the floor. The Irish have been having a very good summer and Lainey is a big reason why.
