Brighton, MI: Day 2 of Michigan May Madness continued on Saturday at the beautiful eight-court Legacy Center in Brighton, MI. Here's a look at some of the top performers from Day 2.

2024 PG Devin Hagemann (Michigan Crossover 16U EYBL)

2024 Jacelyn Starks | Always 100 Takeover
Jacelyn is a very tough defender who made plays on both sides of the floor today, her energy was infectious to her teammates as she does whatever it takes to help her team.

2023 Mya Hicks | Common Bond
Mya is an extremely smooth PG that runs the show for her squad with poise and patience. Mya scores when she needs to and finds her teammates in the right spots all over the floor. Mya is a coach’s daughter and she is definitely an extension of the coach on the floor.

2022 Deoncey Thompson | Michigan Crossover 17U EYBL
Deoncey has the rock on a string and she showed her elite handle multiple times weaving through the defense getting into the paint for buckets or dropping a nice dime to a teammate. She also was on the front line of the Crossover's tenacious pressure defense forcing turnovers and converting them into points in transition.

2022 Taylor Petroskey |  Michigan Mystics Showtime
Taylor caught my eye immediately by the way she moved with or without the ball, her feel for the game and her ability to create off the dribble or knock down the open J. Taylor was effective scoring the rock from all levels, look for her to have a big scoring summer for the Mystics.

2022 Brinn Hunt  | C2K Thunder
Brinn plays with a great feel for the game, with enormous confidence, and has the skill to back it up. A very smooth handle and the ability to get her shot off the dribble she consistently was able to get to the rack or pull- up for the mid-range jumper in traffic.

2022 Ruby Whithorn | Michigan Crossover 17U EYBL
Amazingly, Ruby finds a way to get better every time I see her. Today she had the J clicking and got to the basket multiple times with ease off the bounce.  The sky’s the limit for this young lady.

2022 Anabelle Gogol  | C2K Thunder
Soft on her feet, post-move clinic and a great recognition of the defense is just some of the things Anabelle had on display today. Anabelle scored the rock under pressure, made the correct pass out of the post, and even displayed her handle in the open court to set up her teammates. Anabelle is hard to stop when she is able to get post position and she worked extremely hard to establish it in each possession.

2022 Sydney Vis | West Michigan Drive BSSTL
Sydney has a sweet stroke and she showed good range in knocking down the 3 for her squad. Sydney not only a shooter handled the rock, rebounded, and came up with multiple loose balls.

2022 Aislin Malcom| WPA GUAA Bruins Cash
Big-time shooter who hit a number of clutch 3s today, not only a shooter, Aislin is a high IQ guard that helped run the show for the Bruins.

2024 Nakiya Bonner  | Michigan Crossover  15U EYBL
As a former point guard and a father of a D1 point guard I tend to pay more attention to each team’s PG, Nakiya makes that easy for me.  With her handle, her vision, her quickness, and her ability to get to her spots on the floor all of this sets her apart from most players her age. Her future is crazy bright and I’m here for all of it.

2024 Riley Abney| Bates Fundamentals
Riley is a super competitive super aggressive guard that had the shot going today, Abney is a high IQ guard that can make plays off the dribble for herself or her teammates. Look for big things from Abney this summer.

2024 Myana Cooksey | Michigan Crossover 15U EYBL
Myana is an extremely tough guard with a nice handle who got to the rack multiple times took the hit and still finished the bucket.  On the defensive end, she was a consistent ball of energy that forced a number of turnovers and disrupted the other team’s defensive flow.

2023 Savannah Brewer | Common Bond
Brewer can flat out hoop, she made threes, scored off the bounce, and worked hard for any 50/50 ball that was on the floor. Brewer is deceptively quick and had no problem getting by her defenders whenever she needed to. Savannah hit some clutch threes in a 2- point loss to keep her team close down the stretch.

2022 Lexus Bargesser | Michigan Crossover 17U EYBL
Lexus continues her stellar play this spring by running the show for the high-powered Crossover squad. She makes plays off the dribble, knocks down the open jumper and is always under control she gets to her spots on the floor and makes the right play pretty much every time.

2024 Devin Hagemann  | Michigan Crossover 16U EYBL
A coach’s dream at PG, Devin gets better every time I see her play.  At a young age, she already has complete control of the game, making it look effortless weaving through traffic, finding her teammates, or scoring the rock.  Devin’s biggest strength just might be on the defensive end where she’s a tenacious, lockdown defender.

2023 Sara Rambus | Michigan Crossover 16U EYBL
Sara controls the game on both ends of the floor with her outstanding footwork, rebounding, and her defensive presence. Sara will be a force to be reckoned with for the next couple of years and even though she is dominating now she is only scratching the surface.

2023 Janae Kent | Michigan Crossover 16U EYBL
Janae is the REAL DEAL!  Whoever is lucky enough to get Janae will have a program game-changer for 4 years. There’s not much Janae can’t do on the floor. She shoots it, she creates off the dribble, and plays at her own pace. Her opponent pretty much has to pick their poison when trying to stop her.

2024 Kendall Hendrik | Michigan Crossover 15U EYBL
Kendall’s just getting back from injury and she’s quickly finding her footing on this Crossover squad.  Showing elite footwork and a strong presence in the paint she was able to score multiple buckets.  I’m excited to see Kendall back at 100%.

Don’t Let the Size Fool You…..
These two young ladies showed that size doesn’t matter on the basketball court with tough competitive play and highlight-reel moves.

2025 Lanasia Dubois | Midwest Storm
Lanasia made up for her lack of size with her gifted handle and her ability to break her opponents down off the dribble to create buckets.  There were a few plays that Lanasia made that had me and the other fans jump out of our seats. This young lady is flat-out fun to watch.

2024 Breayah Jefferson  | Bates Fundamental
Breayah is an extremely scrappy guard that backdowns for no one. Watching her play the Crossover she continually got knocked to the floor and bounced back up to not only compete but to make some big-time plays on both ends of the floor. This young lady is one of the toughest guards I watched all day!
