Where Will They Go

The state of Michigan has always been a stop for college coaches on the recruiting trail when it comes to finding potential student-athletes. Nationally rank players such as Rickea Jackson, Gabby Elliott, Bree Salenbien, Whitney Sollom, Allana Micheaux, Damiya Hagemann, Morasha Wiggins, and many more players have represented the Mitten very well in the past few years. The 2022 class is no different as they also have a few big-time prospects in Mya Petticord, Lexus Bargesser, and Ruby Whitehorn, which all have many college coaches hoping that they will be on their campus this time next season.

2022 Ruby Whitehorn 6' SG Detroit Edison HS (Michigan Crossover EYBL)
National Ranking (21) ESPN
Whitehorn has been on the radar since her 9th-grade season. The versatile Whitehorn can play on and off
the both ball, which she can create for others and herself. She has improved her perimeter shooting over the years, which makes her even more dangerous when the ball is in her hands. She holds numerous Power 5 offers, including both from in-state schools Michigan and Michigan State.

2022 Mya Petticord 5'8" PG Arbor Prep HS (Michigan Storm GUAA)
National Ranking (38) ESPN
Petticord is the best scorer in the state of Michigan, regardless of class. She excels at scoring from deep, mid-range, or the rim at a high rate. She has kept her recruiting quiet but holds many offers from Power 5 programs, including hometown schools Michigan and Michigan State.

2022 Lexus Bargesser 5'11" SG Grass Lake HS (Michigan Crossover EYBL)
National Ranking (56) ESPN
Bargesser was an unknown player to the Power 5 schools and many national media outlets until June of 2020. This kid tore it up last summer playing with Michigan Premier as she dominated many top players to garner attention from many top programs across the country. She is fearless as she can defend, rebound, and scores the ball very well. She holds offers from UCLA, Kentucky, Nebraska, Louisville, Maryland, North Carolina, and her hometown school Michigan.
