Columbus, OH: OGBR Spring Special served as an appetizer before the main entre tonight at The Clash here in Cincinnati, OH. Some of the regions finest competed and had great showings. It’s early in the travel season, but this was a great opportunity to showcase what you’ve been working on over the last few months. Here are a few players that did very well for themselves and should be on college coaches recruiting board, some now and some in the future.
2026 Blossom Wallace | Pickerington HS
Wallace was a force! She’s so long and skilled and only a 2026. There is so much potential with her length and skillset to make a major impact in both ends of the court. Her soft touch around the basket was on full display whether putting back an offensive rebound or finishing off a spin move.
2025 Aniyah Smith | Avon HS
Aniyah Smith has major gym rat swag complete with a big-time handle and the ability to get anywhere she wants to on the court. Smith had the initial defender on skates all day putting great pressure on the help defense to stay awake. She’s adept at finishing even over much taller defenders and understands how to create space for her shot. One of the most skilled PG at the OGBR Spring Special regardless of class
2024 Kameryn Grant | Africentric HS
There is not much Kameryn Grant didn’t do at Spring Special. Her versatility in both ends was on full display. She pushed the ball on the break and delivered the ball right on time to players running the floor. She also finishes tough baskets coast to coast. Defensively, she made an impact in the perimeter and interior. If there was an MVP for the 2022-2024 group, you could argue Grant got it.
2023 Annabel Rodriguez | Chippewa HS
If the saying “downhill scorer” was a person it would be Annabel Rodriguez. She was two dribbles from getting to the basket and finishing. Nothing pretty, just a big-time first step and grit. Loved how she attacked the basket with reckless abandon.
2023 Janyah Bohanon | Trinity HS
Bohanon featured a smooth handle and the ability to get to the basket. She’s so long and skilled with the ball. She’s some added strength away from really improving her stock, but the potential to be an impact player on the offensive end is there.
2026 Heaven Sneed | Sports City U
Heaven Sneed is a bully. I mean that in every good-natured sense of the word. She’s a tough guard because of how she leverages her frame, speed, and quickness to get what she wants. She has to be more productive going left but still, there is not much anyone could do to stop her from making plays at her age group.
2022 Brinn Hunt | Toledo Catholic HS
I’m a sucker for kids with big-time motors and so are college coaches. Brinn Hunt has a big-time motor and ran the floor harder than anyone I saw at the event. She’s super strong and she used that strength to get it the basket and post up like size guards.
