Indianapolis, IN: The Prep Ball Stars Girls Combine atmosphere was electric. Some of Indiana’s top girl's basketball players were in the house fresh off their high school season and did not participate or snuck in a run or two (Ari Wiggins, Jayla Smith, Mila Reynolds, Amiyah Reynolds). But there was much to see and ponder as we move into travel ball season. Here are a few “young guns” that stood out.

2027 Amirah Jordan | Gym Rats
At times, the games just looked too easy for Jordan. She excelled at pushing the tempo, seeing the floor, and delivering. Jordan also showed she could shoot comfortably from three-point land and with range. It's evident she has all the tools to be a top point guard in Indiana’s 2027 class.

2025 Allanah Gilbert | ICBallers Elite
Big time potential. A little timid at times, but if she develops a consistent mean streak, Gilbert could be next! She is 6-2 with an explosive first step. She can shoot the three and score back to the basket. She plays in spurts and those spurts are jaw-dropping at times. If she learns to put minutes together we’re she plays harder and more consistently, then she could catch this class off guard and be a top player. Really excited about Allanah Gilbert.

2026 Kaylah Thornton | Gym Rats
Thornton is a slasher that gets to contact and makes plays. She can get you an AND1 or deliver a dime. She plays with a high motor and infectious energy. Time and time again, she led the break or was on the receiving end of a pass that led to a bucket because she ran the floor so well. She was murder in transition.

2027 Havana Thompson | Indiana Red Storm
Thompson looked comfortable on the court against much older competition. She’s already thinking the game at a high level and knocked down open 3s in transition. Thompson has an older sister in the Red Storm program, and both seem to love the game. But watch out for Havana, she’s going to give teams headaches this summer.

2022 Mary Porter | N/A (Noblesville HS)
Mary Porter is an intriguing prospect in that she didn’t play much last high school season at Noblesville but offers some attributes that catch the eye. Porter runs the floor well and she is very athletic. She is still a bit raw skill-wise but has the potential to become a force on the defensive end. She has a good motor which allows her to keep the pressure on defenses when they don’t get back. Porter just needs a chance.
