Fenton, MI: Lady Baller Insider takes a look the 17u Mid-Michigan Cagers (Metro) & Cagers(Flint) as they went head to head in an inner program scrimmage in front of many college coaches, and evaluators Lady Baller Insider was amongst the evaluators in the intense battle Thursday night!

Olivia Dirkse (2022) | Michigan Cagers (Flint)
Dirkse
can do it all. The 5'7 Guard out of Davison HS was a vocal leader tonight keeping the team composed and running smoothly the entire night. Dirkse proved she can fill up the stat sheet in multiple different ways going to the basket, stepping out knocking it down from behind the Arc, getting her teammate's open looks, and being able to pick-up and guard 94 feet. Dirkse is an all-around guard that college coaches wouldn't want to look past as this AAU season gets back up and rolling!

Lillee Gustafson (2021) | Michigan Cagers (Flint)
Gustafson had a strong performance for the Cagers (Flint). The smooth forward at 6’0 is a player to watch night in and night out. The 2021 forward is a bruiser down low, dominant on both ends of the basketball being able to go back to the basket and being able to face up using her footwork to take defenders off the dribble. Gustafson dominated the defensive and offensive rebounds being scrappy down low was just too much for the Cagers (Metro).

Alex Long (2021) | Michigan Cagers (Flint)
Long is every opponent's worst nightmare. Long had a bigger performance tonight for the Cagers (Flint) hitting a handful of three's from everywhere on the floor. Long showed that she is a player you can't leave open as she was automatic from deep today leading a run of her when she heated up from deep! Alex Long is a name coaches should remember when recruiting.

Annie MacLeod (2021) | Michigan Cager's (Metro)
MacLeod is a 6’1 problem on the rebounding end. MacLeod was fighting for position all game making rebounding the basketball personal. MacLeod can get up and down the floor with the best of them running the lane putting herself in a position to score the basketball as well, The 2021 forward made it difficult for the Cagers(Flint) to slow them down grabbing rebounds and getting it up to a guard to start the break as she trailed making their transition offense smooth all night! with Macleod's IQ and relentless hustle on both ends, you can count on hearing her name surface this summer!

Chloe Gilbert (2021) | Michigan Cager's (Metro)
Gilbert has in the gym range. Gilbert stepped in off the bench in the second period as a silent assassin and shot the ball lights out, Gilbert has a beautiful jump shot from her base to the flick of the wrist when she lets the ball go teams should be worried majority of the time. The 2021 guard might not say much on the court but made her presence felt on the court against the Cagers (Flint) catching it in rhythm letting the offense come to her as she found her groove in the Cagers matchup.
