Grand Rapids, MI: Day two of the LBI Summer Sizzler brought more chills and thrills to those in attendance.  There were a number of notable battles between some of the finest teams in the state.  Some of them went down to the wire and others went to overtime.  Some of the best players showcased their skills for all to see.   The vets showed off their improvement from last season and a number of up-and-coming young players showed why they belong among the elite.   The day was filled with some of the best shot-making, shot-blocking, rebounding, ball-handling action seen anywhere.   It was really entertaining to watch these young ladies put on a show for the fans and college coaches.  The following players had noteworthy performances during Day 2

2021 Hannah Kurncz SG West Michigan Drive
Hanna is a hard nose tough playing lefty that makes plays going to the rim or knocking down the jump shot, today she had it all on display as she rebounded the ball in traffic, played tough on the ball defense and knocked the jump shot down when teams concentrated too much on Bowers and Ediger.

2020 Halle Barnett Post Glass City Fury
Halle has a lot of skill as the middle piece on her hot shooting Glass City Fury team she showed some great skill today, displaying good footwork, good hands, a soft touch and she ran the floor extremely well. Halle was a problem on both ends of the floor and made a living on the offensive boards.

2020 Kayden Lawson SG Toledo Thunder
There isn't much Lawson doesn't do when she steps on the floor, she dives for every 50-50 ball, she locks up on defense, she scores when needed and handles the rock against pressure. Another one of the top guards from the Buckeye state that caught a few BCS schools attention on Monday.

2020 Makenna Bryant  PG Northern Pride 2020
The do it all dynamo, Bryant did it all for Northern Pride she scored, she delivered pinpoint passes, she was dominant in the game I watched making play after play. Tough hard-nosed PG, Bryant doesn't shy away from the big shot or the big play, which should lead for a big senior year.

2022 Ruby Whitehorn SG Michigan Crossover 16U EYBL
Whitehorn moves with a different glide than most players in the gym, so smooth that everything she does seems like an instant highlight, she slashed for buckets hit the perimeter shot, ran the floor handled the rock she pretty much did it all. Head Coaches from Michigan, Michigan State, and many more were on hand checking out one of the states top 2022 prospects.

2023 Macy Brown PG MBA 2023 Randel
Macy plays well beyond her years, she runs the show but stays in super attack mode all game. Macy showed her court vision with some jaw-dropping dimes and showed her range with a step-back triple well beyond the three-point line at the end of shot-clock. In the game, I watched she was in the lane applying pressure at will which opened up easy buckets for her teammates. Macy's future is CRAZY BRIGHT!!

2022 Abbey Kimball SG MBA 2022 Brown
Lightning quick, strong and explosive, Kimball used her quickness to create separation from her defenders, get in the lane to score or set up teammates and made it look easy while doing it. She stroked the jumper and got to the rack as I was very impressed with her ability to score at all levels. With her solid play in July, Kimball has definitely put her name in the discussion as one of the top three players in the state of Michigans class of 2022.

SHOOTERS SHOOT
Glass City was hot from deep in the game I watched, their guard trio of 2020 Shaelyn Pedroza, 2020 Abigail Borojevich and 2021 Kacee Baumhower made bomb after bomb from long range taking turns shooting over the zone.
