Dearborn, MI: Welcome to the 2019 Michigan Mystics Training Camp! Director Rob Ruhstorfer indeed provided a unique experience for his program. This was an opportunity for players to get better, measure up, and be seen in front of a few dozen college coaches from all levels before playing even one game in an NCAA Certified event. Some girls were also able to come and have an opportunity they wouldn’t usually have because they will be running in Michigan track regionals at some point during the weekend. The Mystics Training Camp consisted of 2 hours of drill demos by coaches and players, drill stations, and scrimmaging. In attendance were girls as young as 5th grade and rising seniors to make for a great camp. The Mystics got a leg up on the travel ball world today. Here are a few things and players who stood out.

LBI RUNDOWN (2019 Mystics Training Camp Edition)

  • Smooth, shooting guard Chennelle King is in new Mystics threads! She will be playing for Mystics Showtime at Michigan May Madness.

  • Breanne Salenbien is must watch. She is longer than a marathon and has many layers to her offensive arsenal. Her effortless shot is deadly.

  • 2020 6’5” Rebecca Morrish is an intriguing player. This developing prospect is fresh off a Detroit University offer and looking for more.

  • Loved how Hannah Spitzley attacked the workout. She’s an excellent get for the Western Michigan Broncos.

  • 2020 Whitney Sollom is few months removed from some time off but looks as athletic and springy as ever.

Upside Watch

2024 6’2” Alison Bisballe

2022 6’4” Kate Jacobs

2022 6’1” Lauren Sollom

2023 5’4” Mary Copple
