Top Talent from NC and SC kick the season of in Charlotte!

Charlotte, NC: The Season Tip-Off Classic is a must attend event. Some of the top teams in North and South Carolina provided a great early measuring stick for each other. We saw a lot of coaching going on and some very talented players during the event. Below are just a few of the many players that are in for big AAU seasons.

Best in Show

2023 Malaysia Fulwiley – (SC76ERS Black)
This 2023 point guard will be on everyone’s list nationally as one of the top players in country. As a point guard, she controls the tempo tremendously well and can get to the basket with easy. She can stroke the three well beyond the line and is an absolute nightmare to guard. Defensively very quick and can get end to end in a flash. She is a must see player.

2021 Keanna Rembert – (Carolina Flames EYBL)
She is a long and quick player that runs the floor and plays with energy. When she comes in the game, she changes the game instantly. She is a match up problem and can play inside or out. Defensively a shot blocker that rebounds well and uses her length to her advantage. Very impressed with her court presence and basketball IQ. Expect her recruiting to increase quickly this season.

2020 Jael Miller - (Carolina Lady Phenoms)
One of the top pure point guards in NC who always plays under control. She can go left or right and if a teammate is open, she will find them. She rarely turns the ball over and makes great decisions. Recently she has added a very nice jump shot and can hit the three as well. Her weekend was cut short, but what we saw was enough. Look for her recruiting to continue to rise this summer.

2021 Aylesha Wade – (Team Loaded NC)
Straight up baller. Super quick guard that can run the point or play the two. She is a slasher that can get to the basket in a hurry and is deadly from outside. Defensively is super quick and aggressive. She plays with a chip on her shoulder and is in for a big summer.

2021 Teonni Key – (Carolina Flames EYBL)
At 6’3” she is not your typical player. While most that size play only inside, she can stretch the floor and beyond. A player that can bring the ball up, shoot the three, post, drive the lane and is always around the ball. Defensively with her length and size, she can guard every position on the court. She is rated one of the top players in the state and for good reasons.

Top Standouts

2020 J’Mani Ingram – (SC76ERS Black)
Another physical guard that can get to the basket and looks to create contact or her way to the rim where she finishes strong. Very experienced player that can do it all. She can score, assist, rebound, and defend. A stat stuffer who has played on the biggest stages and will be ready to contribute immediately at the next level.

2022 Indya Nivar – (Carolina Flames EYBL)
She showed poise beyond her years. A player that was in total control on the court. She has a quick pull up jumper, and can hit from three as well. In transition she puts the defense on their heels and can either score or drop dimes to her teammates, sometimes with a little sauce. She is a competitor that will draw interest from some of the top programs at the next level.

2021 Kaylan Daniels – (Charlotte Flames)
Small tough point guard. Great on ball defender that can match the speed and quickness of the opposing pg. Offensively, she is streaky but got hot in the first game knocking down 3 to 4 three’s late in the game to help lead her team to a comeback win. As she continues to improve her ball handling, she will be a player that will generate next level interest.

2020 Laniya Smith – (iDreams SC)
She is a very tough matchup with good size. She can post up and use multiple moves down low as well as step out and knock down shots with a nice touch. When she goes to that basket, she is strong and can finish. Good rebounder and a player that can do many different things for a team.

2022 Aly Wadkovski – (Carolina Elite)
Good size post player that can get up and down the court. She is a shot blocker and rim protector on the defensive end that can eat up space. She sometimes struggles against quicker players but will continue to get better as she continues to grow.

2023 Samyha Suffren – (Carolina All-Stars) (pictured)
Two way player that is always in the mix. Athletic defender that plays in your face and can lock up her opponent. On the offensive side she can play multiple positions whether she is running the point or playing off the ball. Skilled and smart with a high horse powered motor that is surely going to attract the attention of coaches at the next level.

2022 Jada Brigman – (1Dream U15)
One of the most physical guards we saw this weekend. She plays with tenacity and max effort. A strong and skilled player that can get to the basket and finish through contact, often creating the contact herself. On the defensive end she is a very good rebounder that is always around that ball and if there is a loose ball she usually is the one who ends up with it. Can’t wait to see her continued growth this summer.

2020 Tarewyn Dawson – (SC76ERS White)
Very composed player that never gets rattled. She dribbles with eyes always scoping for the open player and can knock down the three when needed. She is a floor general and very good on ball defender.

2019 Kayrisma Harrison – (NC Cavs Orange)
Good size player with surprising quickness. Has a nice jab step and goes strong to the hole. She displayed very nice touch and range on her jump shot. A player that caught our attention on the first day.

2022 Aysia Hinton – (Carolina All-Stars)
A strong player that played under control. She has high basketball IQ and was most impressive talking and communicating to her teammates. She can shot the rock and score when called upon and was all over the court on defense. As she continues to develop we would like to see her take more of her opportunities.

2023 Olivia McElroy – (Charlotte Flames U15)
Lengthy wing player that can play inside or out. She is a monster on the boards and has quick hops. She is a player that can affect the game in many ways, even when she is not scoring. She plays with lots of energy and effort and is always around the ball. As her skill level continues to develop, look for her stock to continue to rise and draw interest at the next level.

2021 Sa’Miya Williams – (1Dream)
Player with good size and speed. Very physical and aggressive guard that plays both ends. Active rebounder that gives hustle and effort on every play. As she becomes more experienced and skilled, she will be a player to watch.
