McDonalds All American Shakira Austin leads Riverdale Baptist to the National Championship

Insider Exposure put on a great event that will become a go to event for the independent schools across the country. The National Championship was won by a very tough Riverdale Baptist team that showcased multiple high major kids. Shakira Austin (Maryland) a 2018 McDonalds All American lead the way and ended up being tournament MVP with 27 points in championship game versus Rock Creek Christian Academy. Rock Creek also featured multiple D1 kids lead by sharp shooter Noo Washington 5’7 g (Syracuse) and work horse Carrie Gross 5’10 g (Xavier). This event was loaded with 2018 kids headed to the next level. LBI decided to focus on the underclassmen and shine a light on them.

 

2021
Dom Darius 5’9 PG Blair Academy (NJ)
Attacking point guard with a good handle and a knack for finishing in traffic. Can hit the 3 as well as the mid range jump shot. Good on ball defender.

Olivia Miles 5’9 PG Blair Academy (NJ)
Very athletic, good handle, finishes with contact. Hits the 3 ball, very long and active on the defensive end. BCS prospect

LaTasha Lattimore 6’4 F Crestwood Prep (Toronto, CN)
Shot blocker, runs the floor, rebounds both ends. Can put it on the floor on the perimeter and in the open court, good passer from high post, soft hands.

Khadija Faye 6’3 Post Florida Prep (FL)
Very strong in the paint, finishes with contact, good hands, runs the floor well, strong rebounder.

2020

Tyinhia Skinner 5’4 PG Rock Creek Chrisitan (MD)
Good on ball defender, very quick with the ball, good mid range jump shot, solid handle.

2019

Century McCartney 5’9 G Carolina Prep (NC)
Slasher that’s good in transition, athletic, rebounds outside of her area. Good on ball defender, hits the mid range jump shot.

Sonia Smith 5’7 PG Rock Creek Christian (MD)
Very strong guard, welcomes contact, good handle, good on ball defender, makes good decisions. Can knock down the 3.

Jordan Tuff 5’7 G West Ridge Academy (NC)
Hit some very big 3 pointers, tough on ball defender, willing to do all of the dirty work, strong attacking the basket, finishes with contact.

Kirsten Deans 5’7 PG West Ridge Academy (NC)
Nice sized point guard, makes good decisions,  hard nosed defender, very comfortable playing in a physical game, good court vision, makes her teammates better.

Jamaya Blanks 5’10 G West Ridge Academy (NC)
Can really shoot the 3, great size, athletic, can defend perimeter and post.

Amaria McNear 6’2 Post West Ridge Academy (NC)
Long, athletic shot blocker, has some bounce, rebounds well, has to get stronger, very raw on offensive end but has huge upside.

De’Aja Richardson 5’8 G West Ridge Academy (NC)
Hits the 3, does a good job rebounding from the guard position, good in transition, good on ball defender.
