Penn Too Deep for St. Joe

Penn 55 St. Joe 46

Mishawaka, IN: With a great mix of youth and experience, the Penn Kingsmen led from start to finish in their 55-46 win over last years 3A State Champion St. Joe Indians. Senior guard, Sarah Doi left her fingerprints on the game scoring a game-high 14 points while showing poise against pressure every coach wants to see from their point guard. Penn’s freshman guard Trinity Clinton did a great job shadowing big-time recruit, Keegan Sullivan down the stretch. Clinton also scored 6 points in the 4th quarter. Each basket was bringing a St. Joe come back to a screeching halt. Congratulations to Penn on great win versus a tough St. Joe Team.

Top Performers

5’10” G 2020 Keegan Sullivan - St. Joe HS
Keegan is as tough as they come.  Already having received offers from South Carolina, DePaul, Indiana, and Purdue (to name a few), you could understand why she saw multiple bodies around her all night.  This game plan made it difficult for her to get going. She was instrumental in St. Joe’s 4th quarter push that trimmed the lead to 6 points with two deep 3 point makes on back to back possessions.  Keegan finished the game with 12 points.

5’11” F 2021 Grace Adams, 5’6” G 2021 Jordyn Smith, 5’7” G 2021 Trinity Clinton
What a luxury to be the team up 6 with a few minutes left in the 4th quarter and see three freshmen contributing at a high level on the court.  Penn’s future is in good hands with Adams (2 points), Clinton (9 points, arguably best on-ball defender on the court), and Smith (8 points). All have a D1 type of potential.
