The state of Michigan's class of 2021 has a chance to be very special

Damiya Hagemann 2021 5’7” PG Detroit Edison HS (MI)
The young skilled point guard was able to score in bunches! In her 3rd game against a talented Ohio team she was handling the ball well under pressure, her three point shot was falling and she was in attack mode! Her ball handling ability created problems for her opponents and she was able to penetrate, score or dish! Hageman is a Point Guard that every coach would love to have.

AJ Edinger 2021 6’1” PF Hamilton HS (MI)
Edinger was very dominant on the day! She was able to score non-stop whether it was off an offensive rebound, three point shot or on the break. She did what was necessary to get the job done. She showcased her ball handling skills by grabbing rebounds and pushing the ball up the floor!

Jaylynn Brumfield 2018 5’9” SG Kingsley HS (MI)
Brumfield used her speed and aggressiveness whenever she could! Her speed kept defenders off balance as she blew by them every time and scored a bucket. She was able to showcase her stroke from three, hitting multiple daggers from deep. Brumfield was impressive to watch! Committed to Ferris State

Bree Salenbien 2021 6’2” SF Lenawee Christian HS (MI)
Salenbien was impressive on the day! Standing at 6’2” she is a natural wing but posts up like a power forward! She was rebounding well and scoring a lot around the rim. Salenbien was able to defend all positions and plays all positions on offense! Her tight handles showed when she pushed the ball in transition looking to score.

Madison Royal-Davis 2021 5’11” SF Toledo Rogers HS (OH)
Davis is so special and nice with the ball. She destroyed defenders getting to the basket and finishing on the break. She has tremendous body control around the rim and showed her ability to convert through contact and distribute to open teammates!

Taylor Mikesell 2018 5’10” PG Massillon Jackson HS (OH)
Mikesell is considered one of the top PG’s in the class of 2018 in the state of Ohio and the country. It wasn’t too hard to see why. She’s a smooth point guard with a crafty handle.  Throughout the day she also showed she was a reliable scorer. Her ability to break defenders down off the dribble did not go unnoticed as she scored getting to the rim, deep from NBA range and over bigger defenders. Committed to Maryland

Jamir Huston 2018 6’0” W/PF John Hay HS (OH)
First thing you notice about Huston is her explosiveness and athleticism.  With her dynamite first step and nice post moves on the block, there weren’t too many bigs that stopped her from getting to the basket. She’s a raw athlete who sent many shots out of bounds and finished strong around the rim. Not to mention, she can handle the ball and push it on the break. Committed to University of Miami

Nevaeh Dean 2020 6’0” PF Lakota West HS (OH)
Dean a tremendously long and athletic young power forward who scored in bunches in the low post. She has great size and a long wingspan at the 4 spot. She did not shy away from contact and when she had an opening she took it. Dean did not discriminate; she scored on bigger or smaller defenders.

Rickea Jackson 2019 6’3” W Detroit Edison HS (MI)
Jackson the 11th overall prospect in the country according to ESPNW in the 2019 class had a great showing on the day. She made her presence known in the gym as many college coaches and fans were in the stands watching. She was a scoring threat from inside and outside.  Whether it was on the break, off the dribble, or a corner jump shot; she was money. Her court vision is exceptional. On every defensive rebound she immediately looks down court for streaking teammates.  Last but not least, she was a rebounding machine on both ends of the floor; grabbing many boards and going right back up with them or rebounding off the defensive glass and pushing in transition.

Cotie McMahon 2022 5’10” G/F Centerville Middle School (OH)
McMahon was a fun young guard to watch. Cotie’s length and athleticism presented a matchup nightmare for Team Michigan. She was doing whatever she wanted on the floor, whether it was scoring, rebounding, or causing multiple turnovers on the defensive end with her quick feet and hands. McMahon has a good motor with the ability to get up and down the court in a heartbeat. Her IQ is very high and her aggressiveness got her plenty of buckets at the rim.

Zia Cooke 2019 5’8”  PG Toledo Rogers HS (OH)
A great combination of skill and athleticism, Cooke showed the ability to take over games when necessary on Saturday.  Unstoppable in transition, she ran by defenders like they were standing still as she converted acrobatic finishes at the rim.  In the half court she took what the defense gave.  She shot the three with accuracy and made great decisions off the pick and roll.  The USA Team Gold Medal winner is a special talent who represented her state and country well.
