Detroit Edison 58 Blissfield 45

Gabby Elliott 6’0” WG Detroit Edison HS 2020
Gabby “The Real Deal” Elliott had a great game against a very good Blissfield team. Elliott was all over the floor last night including the passing lanes. The Freshman Phenom totaled 21 points and had 7 steals. Elliott got to the basket at will, and attacked the rim aggressively and created contact all throughout the game. Down the stretch, Elliott stepped up big and scored 11 points in the second half which led her team to victory.

Rickea Jackson 6’3” WF Detroit Edison HS 2019
Jackson was dominating in the first half. She had 10 points in the first quarter and was a rebounding machine. She ran the floor, crashed the boards, and made some nice strong moves around the basket. Jackson did possibly anything out there that she wanted to do. She attacked the basketball well, knocked down a few mid-range jumpers and out jumped everyone in the gym. Despite only scoring14 points in the first half, and being held scoreless in the third quarter, she picked it up in the fourth quarter. Scoring six points late in the fourth quarter was lethal for the Pioneers, including knocking down clutch free throws towards the end. However, Jackson finished the game with 20 points and 12 rebounds and showed why she is one of the top sophomores in the state and the nation.

Shaulana Wagner 5’6” G Detroit Edison HS 2020
The Freshman Guard was the floor general for the Pioneers. Wagner handled the ball well under pressure and kept her team under control. She finished the game with 13 points and 5 rebounds. She stepped up big in the fourth quarter knocking down shots when open, and hitting free throws towards the end of the game to seal the deal.

Kelsey Wyman 5’5” Blissfield HS 2017
The Ferris State signee did all she could for her Blissfield team. Her ability to get to the basket and finish through contact was great. She caused problems for Edison in the first half by getting to the rim and knocking down the mid- range jumper consistently. Her three- point shot showed today after hitting a few triples in transition. Despite the loss, Wyman finished her high school career with 21 points.

Brooke Henning 5’6” Blissfield HS 2017
Brooke did all and everything she possibly could for her Blissfield team. She was tough on the boards snatching down six rebounds. Henning knocked down quite a few mid -range jumpers and dished out a few assists. She played hard for 32 minutes and gave all she could while playing against a tough Edison team. She ended her career with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
