Day two of the Boro brought out some of the bright stars of tomorrow

Nashville, TN – Day two of the Boro brought out some of the bright stars of tomorrow. Here are a few that caught the eyes of the LBI staff.

Daisha Bradford 2018 5’8” PG Essence Silver (FL)
Bradford is a scoring guard who is very good at what she does. Daisha was fantastic! There was not a player that could stay in front of her. She pushed the ball in transition to get easy baskets, and when her defender played off, she had the confidence to drain numerous pull-up 3 pointers. A lock down defender, she took pride in playing defense.

Amirah Abdur-Rahim 2020 6’2” Post FBC YoungGunz (GA)
A tall and mobile frontcourt post, Abdur-Rahim was effective using her length to rebound in traffic and block shots. I really like the way she ran the floor and scored inside the paint. Amirah also made some impressive passes to a cutting a teammate when she was faced with a double team.

DeYona Gaston 2020 6’2” Wing HTX Fire (TX)
She’s a big guard that is versatile and has the ability to play on the blocks. She hit a couple of mid range jumpers and made some good low post moves. She can handle the ball well for her size and made some very good decisions with the ball in her hands. Gaston is very skilled and should be a major player in the Lone Star state.

Nicole Stephens 2020 5’5” PG WV Thunder White (WV)
Stephens is a big time shooter! She knocked down multiple 3’s at crucial times versus a very good FBC team. As a point guard, she possesses a good handle and makes great decisions with the ball in her hands. She just may be the next big time point guard to come out of the Thunder camp.

Anya Poole 2020 6’2” Post Carolina Flames Easton (NC)
Poole is a very strong post player that does a great job finishing through contact. She rebounds well on both ends of the floor and is a big time presence when defending the lane. She showed a nice mid range stroke, and did a good job defending one of the top nationally ranked post players in the 2020 class.
