ASGR Hoopfest & ATL Spring Slam

Spring live period opened up in Atlanta

Atlanta, GA – The spring live period jumped off this past weekend. LBI was is Atlanta covering the ASGR Atlanta Hoopfest and the Insider Exposure ATL Spring Slam. North Carolina was well represented at these events. Here is a list of a few stand outs.

2020

Andi Levitz 5’6 PG NC Spartans 15u
Levitz is pg that is always in attack mode. She has a good handle to go along with great court vision and a high basketball IQ. She also showed the ability to knock down the jump shot when left open.

Sarah Knafelz 6’1 Post NC Spartans 15u
Knafelz is everything you want in a young post player. She runs the floor, rebounds, defends the post with good shot blocking and she also has a nice jumper from 15’ feet.

Kailey Smith 5’6 PG NC Spartans 15u
Smith is a big time playmaker. She has a good handle and makes great decisions. Her court vision is above average and her basketball IQ is very high.

2019

Nia Washington 6’ G Carolina All Stars Bond (NC)
Athletic wing with a good handle in the open floor. She flourishes in transition, loves to attack from the wing and has range out to the arc. She does a great job rebounding both ends and can defend the 1-3.

Asia Todd 5’7 G Blue Star Carolina
Todd has great size at the guard position, she plays very strong and finishes through contact. Showed range beyond the arc and the ability to get in the lane and create for her teammates.

2018

Lola Lovitt 5’10 W Carolina Force 16u (NC)
Lovitt is dangerous from the wing, she can beat you off the dribble as well as knock down the 3 ball. She showed some versatility this weekend taking over point guard duties at times. She looked very comfortable in the role.

2017

Sierra Votaw 6’4 W Hoop Dreams Athletics Black (NC)
Votaw fits the stretch 4 position at the next level. At 6’4 she has a nice stroke from 17’ feet, runs the floor very well and finishes in transition. A good rebounder with a soft touch around the rim.

Imani Payne 5’5 PG Carolina Reign Elite 2017
Imani keeps getting better every time I see her. She has improved range on her jumpshot beyond the 3 point line and she does a great job creating for her teammates. She is a lock down on ball defender that is up for any challenge.

 

2016

Destini Reed 5’6 PG Buckets Finest (NC)
Reed is a coaches point guard, she is always in attack mode and very vocal. She does a great job creating for her teammates. A very quick lock down defender that has a nose for the ball.

Jada Morgan 5’10 W Buckets Finest (NC)
Super athletic wing that defends, plays the passing lanes and is great shot blocker. She is a slasher that finishes well through contact and also can knock down the 3 ball.
